c-towns
Anyone else catch what happened tonight? Papelbon blew the save in Baltimore with 2 out and 2 strikes in the 9th and then within 2 minutes Longoria homered to end the game in the 12th inning and get the Rays into the post season. Northern Wish
Awesome. The Bills down the Pats and the Red Sox collapse is complete. Its a great week to be a Beantown hater.
Freak By Night
Well, you can't say it wasn't an interesting season. The Red Sox finished the season much like they started the season.
peipunk
Mind = blown.A good perspective from a top baseball writer:http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2011/writers/tom_verducci/09/29/game.162.drama/index.html?eref=sihp&sct=hp_t11_a2
Booche
I was clearly in a different world. Incredible stuff here. Think about it: Only one team in the history of baseball had coughed up a lead of more than seven games in September. And yet last night it was made official twice in 129 minutes, with both collapses ending in identical 4-3 defeats with blown saves in the ninth inning. The Red Sox and Braves always were tied at the hip -- they each called Boston home through 1952 -- and now they are tied at the throat. They deserve the harshest epithet in sports: they choked. Guest Low Roller
Best part about last night was the fan getting a nutshot off of the game tying home run:

Booche
As much as I hate to admit this, I can see where Roller comes from sometimes. Habs bias not included: Edited September 30, 2011 by Guest

Hal Johnson
Not having a life has an upside every now and then. Just watched the entire Philly-Cardinal game. Carpenter out dualed Doc by throwing a complete game, 3-hit SO. Cards won 1-0. Awesome.
TheSloth
I missed tonight's game but I took great joy in watching A-roid a) Strike out with the bases loaded in the 7th with 1 out (so popping out was good enough) and Strike out for the final out in the ninth. Fucking hate that guy.
