Kanada Kev
Fuck YEAH! Saw them tour it in '96 and it was fantastic (and not nearly as heavily attended as other tours). LOVE the Quad
Marcust99
This ain't The Who, it's The Two. The '96 Quad tour was excellent, with The Ox holding things down in fine form. Not sure I need to see The Two do it again.
Jaimoe
I'd rather see Pete stage Quadrophenia. There's a new Quadrophenia documentary featuring their much-maligned 1973 tour and behind-the-scenes recording studio footage.
Mr. Photogeek
There's a new Quadrophenia documentary featuring their much-maligned 1973 tour and behind-the-scenes recording studio footage. ollie
We're going. Should be fun!! Quadrophenia is my favourite Who album.Yeah, I don't think this show is selling well at all. I've been keeping an eye on ticket availability and just last week I was able to pull 2 first row tickets on the floor. I'm guessing those were part of the super ridiculous VIP packages that no one bought. The opening act is a band called Vintage Trouble which I'd never heard of. I saw that the singer's name is Ty Taylor and that rang a bell... ha, ha, it's the same Ty Taylor that was a contestant on the reality show "Rockstar: INXS". I guess he's not doing too bad for himself. Edited November 19, 2012 by Guest
Kanada Kev
I'd be at the Toronto show in a heartbeat, but I'll be in Pittsburgh instead. When they toured it in '96 it didn't sell well either. Didn't matter to me, just more room in the venue. Then, in Buffalo, the upper bowl was a quarter full at most. Great show. I miss The Ox
Jaimoe
Ironically, their first tour without the Ox sold well. Toronto sold out and so did many other dates. It makes no sense other than Pete was back playing mostly electric guitar after abandoning it for over a decade. The reviews for the Rog & Pete Quadrophenia tour so far have been positive, with Rog's voice holding up for the duration, which is surprising. ollie
Great fucking show last night!! Pretty much a dream setlist for me and great seats. Crowd was small but the band rocked out pretty hard. Love Scotiabank Place, always a good time. Back in 2 for Neil. Some video I shot:

ollie
Ollie, man crush on Rog?Ha, ha, I'm more of a Pete guy but there were two tall people in front of me so I focused the camera where I could. And yes I did say I love the 'bank. As easy as it is to knock arena shows, I always have a great time there and the staff are pros.
Jaimoe
I'm a Moon, Pete and Entwistle guy, in that order. Rog will always finish last. I read that Palladino's bass is placed much higher in the mix during this tour, which, if true, is good news since many of the Quadrophenia anthems were Entwistle-driven. phorbesie
i don't have a problem with arenas, it's more that you have to drive 30 minutes each way and so you can't drink (in addition the to the poor sound) to each their own

Freak By Night
Ollie, your video work is excellent.I don't mind the the venue. The only bad thing is the location. But they seem to have solved the parking lot exit problems that pissed everyone off so much in the past. You're right though, the staff are top notch.
