Tow people at work have had their computers completely malfunction (i.e. bluescreen), and although that may be unrelated it seems more than coincidental as it happened within minutes of each other. briguy Posted February 2, 2004 Report Share Posted February 2, 2004 Do not open any attachments, even if they're from someone you know. Call and make sure they actually sent you something. The virus is most commonly sent within a text file attatchment and will be disguised as an email from someone you know. Several people I know have been effected by this virus. It's actually become extremely annoying. So people, stop opening those attachments! Kind of ironic though, I don't have the virus, but I'm still being effected by it. Kudos to the hackers. Bad scripts can run automatically in that window, since you are essentially opening the email there. Attachments actually used to be fun things to get in emails. I seem to be having some serious issues with the home computer, havent been able to connect to the net in three days, I'd re-install but I have 70 gigs waiting to get burned.
