to do it yourself, you'll need another computer to connect the toasted drive up to and some software to look at the data on the disc. I posted something here a while ago for someone else called "get data back", but I never found out if it worked for them.

yeah, they added a slider basher. you can wipe out the security stuff in vista too, you just don't have a slider control.

honestly, if you look at all the previews of Windows 7, it's frikkin Vista with alot of the features that they couldn't fit in to that last major release. Unfortunately for the PC user, Windows 7 is NOT a MAJOR windows release. It is seriously just a minor update to their OS. Don't believe the hype. I will adopt the final release, but I will NOT go apeshit over Windows 7 as it is just an update to what I am running right now. I will, however, go apeshit with a new mac OS.
