  1. wow. i never thought this would happen. Holy Grail prequels would be cool
  2. Yes. It sounds like it'll be a good one. A sold out blacksheep show is one helluva party.
  3. you'd better go see someone about that.
  4. Looking for 2 tix to Buck 65 for tomorrow at the Blacksheep inn. Anyone know anyone looking to unload a couple tix?
  5. Ok, I can see the pix at home now. Does this have something to do with all-star picks tonight at the Casino, and some sort of all-star game? I ended up at Tim Horton's this morning and saw an all-star donut. I knew something was up.
  6. what the hell? Flickr is blocked over here at work! I never really noticed before.
  7. I just finished the season. Nice way to lead into next.
  8. that link is live now if you haven't checked already.
  9. awright. NAC has memberships, but nothing that covers shows like this. Only musical, dance, classical, etc. Comedians and Bands should be included too.
  10. 2nd prize that should be won goes to bradm for finding the event first. I checked the NAC site alot today myself
  11. NW should win a prize for that call.
  12. that's one of the points I've used, comparing a possibility like that to the taste of it that I had back when google automatically shut down adsense because there were some links it deemed inappropriate.
  13. whoa....i was wondering why they hadn't been there yet.

  16. That sounds really friggin' good man.
  17. If you have a sound system, it's not complete without a turntable. Ollie's got his wired up to his Sonos system and can stream his vinyl around the house. I think we should figure out how to do an online vinyl listening party. since you can capture the vinyl in real time on a computer, there's no reason why we can't stream it over the netz.
  18. ersh, looking forward to seeing you in Ottawa with Elkas at NAC 4th stage in March!
  19. i'm not in tune at all without all of you guys (but my guitar is in tune most of the time). I find out about so many local and not-so-local things just from this forum! Sometimes I even miss them like the recent Zeus show in Ottawa (shaking fist at Jordan!)
  20. were my comments harsh or something? I was serious in that I didn't KNOW of Birdman Sound. My comment truly meant that I didn't know what they've done. Pure ignorance. I would have been glad to read a list of their accomplishments. Like, hosting bluesfest stages, shows they may have supported, or other special events. Vinyl shops are pretty much independently promoted with very little outside support. Unless they make it easy to sell online with cheap shipping, they're entire business model is based on walk-in traffic. Let's face it, it's super easy to order vinyl online and just wait a week for it to show up at your door. It makes it super easy as well to forget how fun it is to go to the shops with friends, decompress and go over the finds, then go home and crack the seal placing the fresh (or musty) vinyl on a turntable. Thanks for that vinyl bloggy link. I'll be sure to visit that often!
  21. yeah i did. http://www.birdmansound.com/ let's review...a very recent post on there "TOP PICKS OF 2008" main image doesn't exist. that actually was the first thing that came up and clearly very old. i went to the blog but at work all blogspot sites are blocked. so now that you know the whole story you can stop being hurtful towards me
  22. Well that's pretty offensive. Are you telling me you don't remember the Birdman stage at Bluesfest? Going for coffee soon... meet you at the mall? i now remember that stage. I didn't know what birdman was then either. coffee was good btw. it could have used a pastry on the side.
