I barely saw a lawn chair last night. I guess only certain acts attract chairs. I grabbed some nice photos of The Flaming Lips and Soundgarden. Will hopefully post some today if I'm not too busy. I've been following Wayne Coyne on twitter and he's been posting in Ottawa since Sunday. He had a good enough time here to post some interesting photos w/tweets. A couple are NSFW. Here's one from last night from the stage btw, did anyone catch the kids getting a $10,000 check from the Malhotra Family Foundation? They're the kids that were busking outside of bluesfest last year after Arcade Fire, then Arcade Fire joined them. They were so impressed that they setup this donation thingy and they're matching the $10,000 making it a cool $20,000 apparently to help kickstart a career in music. They seem a little young to get 20 grand.

I was just at the venue and The Flaming Lips were soundchecking. Wayne launched into Sundown by gordon lightfoot but crashed it pretty hard.

I downloaded the iPhone app and I'm pumping the current radio mix in the back yard, smoking pork belly (for bacon!) and a rack of ribs. Incidentally all this pork is local so this smoke event couldn't get any more canadian. I did not know that Plants and Animals were playing in Hull today. interesting!

Anyone catch the first episode of Wilfred? It's on FX (or download it here) and it is pretty....unique. I wasn't sure what we were watching but there were so many laughs at so many odd things that by the end I couldn't wait for another episode.

I've heard that if you have a bronze pass you can still get into the shows at NAC 4th stage, but people with the $16 tickets get priority lineup. Is this the deal for this year as well? Should we be getting tickets for tonight or just use the pass? Any suggestions about lining up? Maybe it'll be dead .... who knows. The place isn't big but I remember very nice service at the little bar.
