  1. Neil Young charged close to $300 for the top ticket price at Massey Hall. If he played an all acoustic show I think it would have been worth every penny. I'm excited as anything for this show. But I'm bummed about the friends first presale not being available.
  2. I think the lady in question is Teresa Williams from Levon Helm's band.
  3. I'm pretty pumped for this. Its a whole lot of music for a great price.
  4. Looks like Neil has dropped the acoustic set for this leg of the tour. But he has been playing A Day in the Life which sounds just killer. Wish I was there. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DvoOUC0FXho
  5. ticketmaster has just released sixth row floors
  6. The word on the street has it that Warfield staff have been told to be prepared for a late night as the show may go as late as 5am. I don't know what they have in store for tonight but I wish that I was there.

    Phil & Bobby

Looks like Phil is kickin' his first set with Aoxamoxa tonight. I wonder is he'll play Workingman's second set. I'd love to be at these shows.
  9. I read somewhere that Neil was going to release Crazy Horse's unreleased album Toast in the upcoming archives. I think it was recorded around 2000 and Goin' Home was one of the tracks. It was my understanding it was going to be released separate from the long awaited box set but we'll see what happens.

    Phil & Bobby

Looks like Bob joined Phil and his band last night to play the Dead's first two albums in full. This was the first of a multi-night run at the Warfield. I wonder whats gonna happen tonight. http://www.ibabuzz.com/concerts/2008/05/14/phil-lesh-setlist-and-review/
  11. I saw Merle at the Ottawa Civic Centre about 5 years ago. It was a great show. It was certainly an older crowd. I don't know if seniors got a discount on tickets but I felt like I was the youngest in the crowd.
  12. Check this out. Springsteen played both Darkness on the Edge of Town and Born to Run albums in their completion back to back last night at a small venue in Red Bank, NJ. It was to celebrate the 30th anniversary for both albums. Setlist: Badlands Adam Raised a Cain Something in the Night Candy's Room Racing in the Street The Promised Land Factory Streets of Fire Prove It All Night Darkness on the Edge of Town * * * Thunder Road Tenth Avenue Freeze-out (w/ horns) Night Backstreets Born to Run She's the One Meeting Across the River (w/ Mark Pender) Jungleland * * * So Young and in Love (w/ horns) Kitty's Back (w/ horns) Rosalita (w/ horns) Raise Your Hand (w/ horns)
  13. I watched the Animal Collective for 20 minutes and it was awesome.
  14. I was down at this show on the weekend and it was a very intimate venue. You could get as close as you wanted but it didn't seem to matter as it was a small room anyways. I don't understand why casinos won't let you drink inside of there venues. It must be so that they can control your liquor intake. I also don't like the fact that the shows always seem to end at 10pm to get you back into the casino to spend some money. I had a great time at the show and it was only an hour past the border. I'd make the trip back to the venue anytime. The setlist was as follows (100 min) Move it on Down the Line Wiser Time Sting Me Goodbye Daughters Jealous Again Poor Elijah/Robert Johnson Descending Wee Who See the Deep Thorn in My Pride Wounded Bird Soul Singing Virtue and Vice ________________ Lets Go Get Stoned Willin'
  15. they were my favorite band at the Hillside Inside
  16. I saw her open for Hayden on the last tour. She was performing solo and I think she has an amazing voice. Can't wait to see her with her entire band.
  17. I read that the big man himself Clarence Clemons joined Levon on stage. I guess there was a round of Bruuuuce's been shouted. Ophelia It Takes a Lot to Laugh, It Takes a Train to Cry Back to Memphis Everything Gonna Be Alright (? feat. Little Sammy) Scratch my Back (? feat. Grady

I'm going tonight. I've seen them a handful of times. Last time they played in town they didn't have a lot of draw. They've reworked some of the Big Sugar material into a harder sound as opposed to the previous dub. Agreed that it is going to be loud and it is going to rock.
  20. It was my understanding that Tom Petty was no longer touring but according to his website he has listed a new tour in 2008. Looks like he will be playing June 03 @ ACC. Special guest is Steve Winwood.
  21. I wish I was going to this tonight but it sold out so fast I didn't get a chance to get tickets. Last time I saw them was 9/25/06 opening for the ACC. They opened for the RHCP and the set was on fire. It was instrumental because Cedric was sick so they had John Frusciate sit in for the whole set. The only song I remember them playing was Interstellar Overdrive the rest was one giant jam. I'm sure its going to be a blast tonight and I'm jealous of anyone in attendance.

    Coachella

I've heard that Coachella is planing on having an east coast date this year in August. Possibly in New Jersey.
  25. i'll be the first to say that I'm no singer. I haven't heard the song yet but I have a feeling that you would be one of many in a chorus type setting. If it was just me and the band I don't think I would have the nerve to sing in front of a giant crowd of moe. fans (well maybe it depends if I had been drinking) It's just the novelty of being able to tell everyone that I sang with moe that has appeal.
