  1. I saw them open for the great Bettye Lavette earlier this year. I was impressed. They were a lot of fun.

  3. I'd LOVE to catch this show too. I won't be dropping that kind of coin though. Maybe I'll hang out at the ACC that night and look for one of those $20 tickets (i've gotten into a Clapton show for that price in the past at the Dome) Ha! I just checked. just under $500 for a pair in Row 26 of Sec 107!!! pffft. Do they think that we got some of that Wall St bail-out cashola or something?

  9. Wonderful news! Congratulations to you and your family. I wish I could bottle that feeling ... there is truly nothing like it.
  10. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2009/11/27/something-something-somet_n_372323.html Fox is releasing the next installment of the Family Guy Star Wars saga just in time for Christmas. In "Something, Something, Something Darkside" young Luke Skywalker (Chris Griffin) has a vision of his dead mentor Obi-Wan Kenobi (Herbert) who tells him to go to Dagobah and learn the Force from Yoda. Meanwhile, the evil Lord Vader (Baby Stewie) intensifies his dastardly plans to control the universe and Princess Leia (Lois Griffin) falls for inappropriate-joke-maker Han Solo (Peter Griffin).
  11. as far as i know they don't do grants but will lend money. However, the lending and collecting is all done through regular banks now and they are much less 'forgiving' and will start many off with horrible credit ratings :\
  12. [color:purple]I don't know about Younge Street, but I do know that people simply never leave Yonge Street while waiting for the parade planning. It's really not news since they are always there!!!
  13. I'm listening to this right now and really wish i was in a "kind state of mind"
  14. ‘Happy Man’ Wine Bottle Corker It’s probably fair to say that bottle stops can be a bit boring, can’t they? Not the sort of thing that generally creates excitement or even raises a smile. But ‘Happy Man’ is here to change that. And I think this may be one of those moments when a picture is worth a thousand words… For the wine lover on your shopping list
  15. There are TONS of sites/blogs/services for the various pay downloading services. I used Rapidshare for well over a year. Love it. Never had problems. Decided to give Megashares a shot on their 6 month deal (less than half the price of Rapidshare). I find that it's a little harder finding some of the megashares, but once you do, you just keep going back to the same sites. One advantage of Megashares is the fact that it's single-file downloads. Sometimes Rapidshare (and many of the others) can be a pain when they are broken into so many smaller parts (adds up to a lot for HD stuff ). However, if you set up some of the great add-ons for Firefox it pretty much makes it minimal effort. You can "share" accounts. Like anything, you just have to trust whoever you do it with. I use my Megashares at home and at work no problem. Same went for Rapidshare This has to be on of the best forums I found out there for all these services: http://tehparadox.com and a great index for some of the stuff there: http://paste2.org/p/401690 This is a valuable search engine for finding stuff that you can isolate by download service: http://www.gappon.com/ Some other useful ones: http://www.scnsrc.net/ http://www.zerosec.ws/ http://warezraid.com http://www.warezthegfx.com/ and of course simple searches on google and choose "blogs" and you'll find endless more quantities Rapidshare has a bandwidth cap still i think. It's 2gigs a day, but accumulates. I've found the majority of stuff is Rapidshare and Megaupload on tehparadox site and others.
