  1. Last time I checked, there's an enormous chasm of possibilities between emulating Phish and being a bar band performing obvious cover songs. There are more than two options, y'know.
  2. Franz Ferdinand, You Could Have It So Much Better.
  3. Article in The Toronto Star here.
  4. Here's another great one - and an interesting album, too! Herbie Hancock, Inventions And Dimensions.
  5. I'm tellin' ya, Blue Note is responsible for a lot of the best album covers created throughout the '50s and '60s. Francis Wolff and Reid Miles had some great concepts for cover designs. Respect.
  6. You fuckers should just be happy that you have Tim Horton's to go to - I tells ya, Dunkin' Donuts just ain't the same thing.
  7. Theme: Songs that Neil Young has covered 1. Don Gibson - Oh Lonesome Me 2. Ian & Sylvia - Four Strong Winds 3. Jimmy Reed - Bright Lights, Big City 4. Drifters / Mann, Weil, Leiber, Stoller - On Broadway 5. John Lennon - Imagine 6. Bob Dylan - Blowin' In The Wind 7. 8. 9. 10. 11. 12.
  8. Uh, oh, now you're changing one of the fundamental rules of the game, just because it's moving slow. Marco gonna whoop your ass.
  9. Janis Joplin is one of the most over-rated performers I can think of. Her pathetic caterwauling tires my ears. Sure she was passionate, but so what? There, I said it...
  10. The Charlie Hunter Trio, Bing, Bing, Bing!.
  11. Neil Young & Crazy Horse - Live At The Fillmore East 1970.
  12. Congratulations to all involved.
  13. I spend most of my time trying to *forget* those people, not get back in touch with them. But I do agree with NewRider, you shouldn't give up acid, especially if you can get really potent, clean stuff for a reasonable price.
  14. But if you take a second to think about where you want the ball to go' date=' then there is a better chance that you'll catch it right where you want it.[/quote'] Wouldn't it make more sense to take a second to think about where the ball *is* going, so that you'll have a better chance of catching it? Thinking about where you want it to go doesn't make it go there, but thinking about where it *is* going allows you a better chance of success.

    Levon Helm Sues

say the fee was $50,000... Levon was only paid 1/5 of half.. that would be only $5,000... Sure, but "let's say" the fee was $1,000,000... that would mean Levon was paid $100,000. Point being, your post is pretty misleading because the fee could have been anything.
  16. Happy Birthday! Hope you have a great day!
  17. Theme: Songs with sweet Pedal Steel presence/solos 1. Iron & Wine / Calexico - In The Reins 2. Frank Zappa - It Just Might Be A One-Shot Deal 3. Luther Wright and the Wrongs - Another Brick in the Wall Pt. 2 4. Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young - Teach Your Children 5. 6. 7. 8. 9. 10. 11. 12.
