my dad is a snowbird and went to Ft. Myers last year. when we went to Langerado he showed us entire neighbourhoods of 1-2 million dollar houses that were empty because of this mess. Imagine an entire neighbourhood of empty mansions. crazy.

Hey Shwa earplugs are not such a bad idea to help protect your ears and also filter out high pearcing sounds coming from the stage. Doug the sound-guy likes a soothing sound more then anyone in the room. Sometimes it may be someone in the band that has to crank their amp and don't feel they should turn it down because they are near deaf themselves or just don't realize it's pain on the audience. Those horns can be pretty loud too. I wear earplugs as much as I can and it's not such an inconvenience compared to hearing the music better that night and in the future. Noted.
