  2. Actor Gary Coleman arrested for failing to appear in court Mon Jan 25, 8:54 AM By The Associated Press SANTAQUIN, Utah - Actor Gary Coleman has been arrested on a warrant for failing to appear in court, police said. The 41-year-old former "Diff'rent Strokes" actor was booked into the Utah County Jail Sunday, said Santaquin police officer Shawn Carter. He said early Monday that he didn't have details on the warrant or know if Coleman was still being held. He said more information would be released later in the day. The Salt Lake Tribune reported that Utah County Jail records show he was arrested after police received reports of a disturbance at his Santaquin home. The actor was arrested in Utah in 2008 after a man claimed Coleman tried to run over him in a parking lot when he tried to take a picture with the star. The case was reportedly been settled out of court.
  3. watched it. that guy is still as weird as ever. he's doing "work with the cosmos." pffft.
  4. i actually said to myself that that looked like a little Davey Boy before i scrolled down...and there he was!! post of the day!!
  5. There is one at Chainsaw Bar & Grill (the old Silver Spur) in Waterloo....thanks Deeps I'll be out of town but would surely be going if I knew about it earlier.
  6. Muppet Manic low rain is the starter of this thread.
  7. It was Ollie, wasn't it.
  8. Undoubtedly right about the press part, Dave. I have no personal vendetta, I hope ya'll see that. I sympathize with most of their issues and think that the permanent arbitrator is one of, if not the only real option to prevent future shit like this but I also can't help but think that they go about it with the typical, and i'm generalizing, mentality of entitlement which I think is what pisses most of us commoners off. No one really knows what a job is about until they do it. Someone prorogue the Maple Leafs already.
  9. "Please birdy ... take some time off and come volunteer in my wife's classroom for a week. Then report back and tell me there's no stress." I knew something was amiss I hope I didn't steer this too far from the College Teachers arena. San Dimas High School football rules!!! Another side note: if it's so easy for you to say (Kev) that we the non-informed should take up the trade and become teachers, isn't it actually less work for your wife to just quit if it's so bad? or perhaps just find herself a desirable School Board to work for? I for one think this debate has been done to death. I'm with Dr. Evil.
  10. Side note: fwiw, my family members that teach in and around Toronto bitch WAY more They may have more to complain about there as I'm not sure of their workload differences from SW Ontario. PS-I've never heard Meggo bitch
  11. I consider myself very informed when it comes to teachers, profs and the impact that it has on students having been one for 7 years post secondary and I have to stand by all that has been said so far. They strike at the end of EVERY contract. My brother the High School Dept. Head is always filling me in on the details of the Union vs. Board (Principals) interaction as he is usually on the brunt end of the demands by the school board as per standardized testing, prep time, extra curricular recoop and disciplinary actions and he is the one that bitches the least because he doesn't have a Union way of thinking and never will...just not his nature. How informed would you like me to be phishtaper? because i can find it out for ya....and yes, i know this isn't about High School teachers but the situation is the exact same.
  12. Roller, it didn't start out all that awesome
  13. Sure teachers work hard (I have 5 in my family) but they also bitch more than any profession I've ever ever experienced. Get 5 teachers in the room at once and watch what happens.
