THE REST are one of the better Hamilton bands going right now. This show was definitely top notch. Amy's music is perfect for the Casbah and it's vibe. To anyone that dislikes Lee's Palace, can you go into your personal specifics? I've always thought that when that room is at least half full or better, it's the best club venue in Toronto. ps: Marco, you are very nice man too!

I was at Bogart's in Cincinnati in June 1999 to see Guided By Voices and the Flaming Lips the night after. I drank $3 black russians all night that were filled to the brim. None of this 1 oz drink stuff. I proceeded to tip the bartender at night's end and vomit in her bar sink. She thanked me for the tip, and handed me a scoop to help clean the bar. It was one of the last times I was ever drunk actually.

1st: Bowery Ballroom, NYC Everything is perfect. Lights, sound, drink menu, sightlines, staff... 2nd: The Old Miami, Detroit Old Vietnam vet bar. Small stage in the corner. Only place I know where you can drink a beer, and sort through gutted grenades that are stocked in an unplugged beer fridge on the customer side of the bar. 3rd: Burt's Tiki Lounge, Salt Lake City Dirty. Rock posters EVERYWHERE. They serve Jack Daniels and Miller. That's it. Always $5 at the door no matter what band.

The latter two bands I wouldn't say are popular. Rock Plaza Central is definitely an up-and-comer, with some SxSW buzz following them though. Cover is $8 if you are 19+, $10 is the under-age price, although I expect less than 10 minors at this show.
