  1. Hey dave sorry I could not make it really wanted to but I was in montreal... too bad, happy birthday. You are now officialy a geezer (joking)
  2. I'm gonna be at the montreal show. Gonna be a good time. I wonder if he's going to do all acoustic or if he will be doing it full band style. I am quite excited for this show.
  3. you need a stream ripping program, I will see if I can find one. found one http://streamripper.sourceforge.net/ Never used one of these so I have no idea how it works. Ps: thanks for posting this, its a really cool concert. I need to listen to more of him I like his style.
  4. I have personaly just given in to it and get up early on the weekends as well. I get alot more stuff done doing things this way and my days seem longer. I have become a morning person.
  5. hehe I just noticed the sticker says, ass gas or grass, noone rides for free... funny.
  6. Hehe check it out... they have 1 in stock.. http://www.maverick-music.com/scripts/vintage-guitars.asp?idproduct=1342
  7. ya normaly I am the same way about buying one with a pickup in it, but it really was the best deal I could find... I haven't even used to pickup yet, but I do do some home recording every once in a while and its gonna make recording acoustic much easier. But for a beginner there's no point really. The built in tuner is pretty cool though.
  8. recently bought a takamine guitar, can't recall the make of it right now. Its a single cut with a pickup and preamp onboard. it was only $500 and plays just incredibly and sounds just as good as a taylor. I know because I sat down with a very expensive taylor and this guitar and played them back to back. There was a bit of a difference in workmanship but not enough to convince me to sink $2000 in the taylor over the takamine. I went to every guitar shop in ottawa and peterborough to find the one I wanted. I must have played around 40 guitars. In the end it was between a norman, a taylor and the takamine. The takamine was the best vs cost out of all three for me.
  9. I don't think she looks bad, but comapratively to what she looked like before... she does not.
  10. We must have. I jam at his house pretty much every wed.. I have probably seen you if you stop by.
  11. Hey all I just wanted to let you guys know that me and a few friends have been doing this for about 5 years and I was wondering if any of you would wanna join us for a day in the park. We pretty much have an entirely open jam day where anyone can get up and play alittle or alot if you feel like it. Heres and email from The "organiser" he wanted me to pas on to anyone who migth be interested. Hello All!! I have booked the bandstand at Vincent Massey Park for Sunday, September 16th, for the purposes of an open summer jam. The park is located right across the Rideau River from Carleton University. The vehicle entrance is located at the intersection of Riverside Dr. and Heron Rd. There is a $4 fee for day parking. I have included some links at the bottom of the email, one to a layout of the park itself, and one showing the location within Ottawa but I'm sure most of the people I'm emailing about this are not only familiar with the Park, but also my previous jam picnics. We will have 2 drum kits setup on the bandstand, as well as a sufficient amount of amps, etc. There will be an undetermined amount of guitars, synthesizers, basses, etc. as well, but to ensure you have an instrument, I'd recommend bringing your own. Also, if you would like to offer your amplifier for use, email me, I would greatly appreciate it. There is plenty of space for any activities around the park, and also, make sure to take advantage of the BBQ grills in the park, just bring a little charcoal and some burgers and you will be set. Donations to help fund the event are welcome. Drinking is not permitted on the site, but as long as it is on the down low, I have rarely had any problems at the site. I would really appreciate people sending this out to friends just so we can get as many jammers as possible. Feel free to include anyone I may have forgotten as well. I will send out other emails as the date draws closer, but consider this a long term warning to help facilitate planning. Anyways, feel free to direct any questions to me at either benjaminhudson@gmail.com or beek420@hotmail.com, Love Ben.
