I was making sport of your typo.

I think it'll depend on who's playing. I didn't go to the desert trip nostalgia fest because I thought the lineup would pull out a lot of me-and-my-crew before you-and-your-crew sort of people. If there are a lot of neo-hippie bands I think this will be great. If it's a lot of jock-type bands I will be more worried. But man, if the rumour mill turns out to be true this will be a heck of a festival.

Funny enough POG, I have contemplated doing this show sober while bringing Nate onto the lawn. I am not sure how many opportunities he will have to see a Phish show and I suspect he would have a fun. We will hang out with you if it is Nate and I, provided you are up for that idea. Nate would love that insane circus and laugh his head off a ton at stuff I wouldn't ever notice until he pointed it out.
We would drive back to Kingston after the show. It will depend on what sorts of seats I can work out because if I am deep into the pavilion I am going balls out rock and roll but alot of friends are planning to hit this show, a few who havent seen Phish 3.0
That itself makes me think I am going balls out rock and roll no matter where I am in that venue.
Either way, I'm sure you'll have a fun.

Once Shel Silverstein walked away the band took a nose-dive (creatively, if not commercially).

Dr. Hook was my first ever favourite band.

I went to Woodstock '94. I didn't want to go but my girlfriend at the time convinced me to join her. I ended up having an amazing time and the whole thing was nothing but great vibes. Saw excellent music too: Dylan, Peter Gabriel, The Band, Metallica, Youssou N'Dour, The Allman's, RHCP, Santana...it was pretty great.
Who knows? Maybe it'll be pretty great again.

Tix are already on sale, and they have leaked a little more of the lineup. https://bf19-holiday.frontgatetickets.com/?fbclid=IwAR21WZhAPdjn5x6FDlMoSGzY50kA2hzOblLycJGhhEo_TQI-EGgjb0J5lYQ&utm_campaign=holpsale&utm_medium=social&utm_source=thankyou
In addition to Backstreet Boys on July 14, the site also mentions that on July 5th it will be Eric Church, Jason Isbell & the 400 Unit, and Colter Wall.
Pretty damn cheesy of them to charge $20+ for a card to put under the tree.

Woodstock North Music Festival coming to Lansdowne in August 2019
The W50 Group is celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the original 1969 Woodstock Music Festival north of the border in Ottawa’s Lansdowne Park and TD Place, August 9-11, 2019. The three-day music experience will recreate the retro look and feel of Woodstock from 50 years ago, and feature a line-up of some of the best original and tribute bands.
“We are thrilled to be Canada’s celebration headquarters for the 50th Anniversary of Woodstock,” said Larry Johnson, Managing Partner of the W50 Group. “We are recreating the Woodstock experience and so we’re encouraging our festies to come dressed up like hippies.” -
(...nero is playing at Irene's next Saturday. Don't tell anyone.)

All Betts are off!
Good things happening for Devon Allman. After a successful year touring as The Devon Allman Project with special guest Duane Betts, the sons of Gregg Allman and Dickey Betts are joining forces to form The Allman Betts Band.
The new ABB includes Devon Allman, Duane Betts, Berry Oakley Jr. (son of original Allman Brothers Band bassist Berry Oakley), Johnny Stachela (slide guitar) and Devon Allman Project percussionists R. Scott Bryan (Sheryl Crow) and John Lum.They will kick off 2019 with a new Allman Betts Band album and a Worldwide tour that will feature new music, songs from their solo projects and classic Allman Brothers and Gregg Allman tunes in honor of the 50th Anniversary of The Allman Brothers Band. The new album, slated for release in the Spring of 2019, will be recorded at the legendary Muscle Shoals Sound Studios and will be produced by Matt Ross-Spang (Jason Isbell, Margo Price, John Prine, and Elvis Presley). Former Allman Brothers Band keyboardist and current Rolling Stones keyboardist, Chuck Leavell will guest on the new album with Peter Levin (Gregg Allman's keyboardist) handling keyboard duties for the rest of the record.
The Allman Betts Band will launch a World Tour in March and perform throughout 2019 at festivals, theaters, and historic venues.

Wow. If I didn't have to work I would have driven up for the show, specifically because Zorn was on the bill. Not that I wouldn't have enjoyed the show, but no Zorn?
Wow.

I was actually a little sad that I was in the states for this momentous day. It's easy to take our level of freedom for granted. The times they are a changin'
Ditto. (fun trip to the US though)

This looks like a seriously good show. Too bad I have to work, otherwise I'd consider the drive.

Man, this guy is going to be hurtin' when he wakes up.
https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/ottawa/kingston-impaired-driver-destroyed-vehicle-1.4830155
He went from four wheels to three, then two. Then he put up his dukes.
Police in Kingston, Ont., said a motorist crashed his car into a light post around 1:15 a.m. Wednesday, damaging the side of the vehicle and ripping off one tire.
Undeterred, the man sped off and drove nearly two kilometres until another wheel snapped off, disabling the sedan.
Police said witnesses then saw the driver pull a bicycle from the car's trunk and pedal away.
When officers tried to stop the man about 15 minutes later, he refused to stop. He fell off the bike only when an officer blocked his path with a police cruiser, but the chase didn't end there.
The man fought off the arresting officer, then tried to take on more before he was finally subdued.
The 39-year-old man is charged with driving with nearly two-and-a-half times the legal limit of alcohol in his system and resisting arrest. His driving licence has also been suspended for 90 days.
What was left of the man's car was seized by police and impounded.
