I could get into being based out of the Dutch Caribbean, particularly Bonaire, where my biggest concern would be where I will SCUBA dive each day. Otherwise, the Galapagos for the same reason (but I've never been there, so I may be wrong about that, although I doubt it).

Mr. Carlson; WKRP. The guy doesn't have a care in the world, because he's too out of it to know better. He runs a rock radio station and is financially secure. His biggest issue in life is to decide which fishing lure to use the following weekend. What more can you want?

First, I want to say that in some ways I am pleased that gas prices have gone as crazy as they have. This will cause people (hopefully) to start purchasing more environmentally sound vehicles, or even drive less when it is not necessary. In turn, I suspect this will change the auto industry, and further and better enviro-vehicles will be developed. Perhaps one day we will even drive a completely new type of vehicle that doesn't consume gas at all. Now, that being said, I am also not pleased that the oil companies are the only winners in this situation, so far, by raking in record profits due to price-hikes. Here's a possible solution, but it will require some good participation across the country...

I can recommend who NOT to hire. There is a company called Capital Movers. They are Canadian company, but I also know that they named themselves after a reputable American company. They claim to be inexpensive. Do not hire them. From all accounts online, they will jack up the price at the last minute, fail to deliver some of your belongings, and break others. I almost moved from BC using them. I called to cancel 2 days before I left, and they asked why. I told them about what I had read online, and that it made me concerned they are criminals. (Oh ya, they also only take cash.) Instead of discussing this with me or trying to deny being criminals, the woman on the other end said, "Okay, then. Thank you. Bye bye." I moved using Tippet Richardson and they were great, but expensive.
