    STMusic Help

I've never had luck with opening my ports and all that stuff. Seeding/uploading always works great for all the sites where it doesn't really matter, but for OiNK and STMusic it just never works. So I slowly watch my ratio dwindle away and then go about getting a new account when I get the boot!
  2. I'm watching THIS tonight!! Looks like good watchin!
  3. Great review Scottie, thanks! Free water, what a concept! I love Hillside.
  4. yeahhh, its always dicey showing up at the show and hoping to get a ticket though ya know? the potential disappointment factor. especially if you're on a low (face value) budget, and/or if you have to travel from out of town to get there.
  5. my ticket plea is for 2 friends visiting from taiwan!

  9. Nice update! I'm aiming to make it to the Festival of Friends gig and hopefully the one with the Abbreviations.
  10. Thanks for the reports, wish I could've made it! Did Kevin Breit play with Harry Manx? Did Kevin Breit pop up on any other stages? Did Andrew Whiteman play with Bourbon Tabernacle Choir? For me, the lineup looked amazing.. So good that I wish I hadn't looked at it! All it was missing was The Spades. I wish The Acorn was playing around here sometime before I left.
  11. Haha.. Nothing happened really, he just has that sound. Bluesy twangy dirty boozy sound with muffled vocals like they might sound through a megaphone or an a Tom Waits album. Its just him and his electric guitar. He was pretty good. Actually this one huge drunk guy with tattoos all over himself almost punched out a girl right after Biram's set. I think the bouncer called the cops because he knew he couldn't take the tattoo guy if he tried.
  12. Scott Biram, good music to bash beer bottles over peoples' heads to!
  13. Damn I had a few good games on the go! Please bring Scrabulous back somebody.
  14. Interesting indeed! Worth checking out. I only saw the last two BA songs unfortunately. He went on early when the Sweet 16's didn't show up.
  15. SUN JULY 27 BOB LOG III, Scott Biram, B.A. Johnston, Sweet 16's @ Casbah -- 8PM -- LIC/AA :: $10 Tickets at Dr.Disc, Casbah, http://www.casbahlounge.ca plus C.I.U.T's "PASS THE DYNAMITE" Soul Party Anyone going? I haven't seen BA play since November so I'm hoping to check it out. Set times would be helpful if anyone knows. What's Bob Log III all about? And Sweet 16's? Is that one of the Rev's bands?
  16. Just saw this movie again and it was just as amazing as the first time. Check this out! Available at Blockbuster, etc.
  17. I did a winter in Golden and a winter in Rossland. In Golden I worked at a cafe called the Dogtooth Cafe (gone now) and it was great, though it was a daytime job so it sometimes got in the way of the ski bum life. Kicking Horse is by far the best terrain I've ever ridden on! In Rossland I worked in the kitchen at the hill (Red Resort).. Got a fair bit of snowboarding in but it was a bum winter, no snow. Rossland is a town of 2000 so if no nightlife doesn't suit you, skip on it. I preferred to go for the small and more low-key ski hills as opposed to the biggies like Whistler. The advantage of Whistler or Banff is that you can see good higher-profile live music every now and then. Lake Louise and Banff (Sunshine) are pretty easy places for first-timers, as in really easy to find work and get set up with minimal outside help. Whatever you chose to do, enjoy! ps - If I were in your shoes I would be thinking Revelstoke.
  18. Thanks for the heads up! I just re-signed-up.
  19. Robert Plant & Allison Krauss - Raising Sand The Cowboy Junkies - Trinity Sessions Ryan Adams - Jacksonville City Nights The Acorn - Blankets! The Talking Heads - The Name of this band is The Talking Heads
  20. I too am on the look-out for two Sunday full-day passes (after Ron Usher gets his!), or Saturday full-days.
  21. This was a great night! Good to see lots of familiar faces and to hear some classic tunes. This music must live on! Thanks to the band for throwing a good party.
  22. Should do Crooked Rain instead.
