  5. I'm lovin' these guys right now. Such a tighter defensive game this post-season than those prior, which is crucial when you have a goaltender who hasn't gone deep into the playoffs before. Also, the fact that they started off the season slow and finished strong means that they're not under the same microscope (outside of Ottawa) this year that they were in previous years when they were atop the division. I like how we're lookin' this year.

  12. I would bet that anybody who has that phone number has had this happen a lot.
  13. Amen, Allison. I think in the age of "infotainment" that we live in, it's all too easy to look a the number of people killed as a gauge of shock value, or a "score" of where to place this event in a historical context. 31 people. 31 sets of parents/friends/roomates/siblings etc. who have had someone close to them murdered. 31 human lives which are done. Over. It's far too easy to get sucked into the sensationalism which always surrounds an event like this, and not think about the real toll it takes on individual people.
  14. I'm sure the victims of the shooting at Dawson College in Montreal this past September and the women who were killed several years ago at the Ecole Polytechnique would disagree with you.

  19. I don't agree with what he says, but will strongly defend his right to say it (or something like that). I get frustrated with his posts as well, but am also capable of not reading them. I also think the problem wouldn't be as big if he didn't illicit such strong responses from people (case in point: this thread). I have no problems with letting Lungzo (Luke/Kung/Zero) do his thing, and can decide for myself when I'll allow myself to get sucked in. Peace, Hart
