  1. have 2 for face i am in guelph will ship expresspost in canada
  2. Not sure if this was already posted. Tonight's show at the Gorge, the last night of the tour, is being broadcast on Sirius. Starts at 10:30pm.
  3. I did hear this when listening to Sirius over the weekend so it must be happening.
  4. I received the email yesterday and I got tickets I lost a few pairs before getting tickets so they must have looked at the transaction history.
  5. Here is David Lenieux's review of the show from dead.net. Obviously he's not going to say negative things but it is quite interesting. http://www.dead.net/4-21-hsbc-arena
  6. Yes the balloons were out of control. I hear they are $10 now, not sure if this was the case in Buffalo. I didn't find it that sketchy, a bit I guess but we didn't go there after the show. Lots of food vendors. Just as we were leaving shakedown, this guy opened up a pelican case full of pipes. He was selling them all for $5 a piece. It was very shady and I assume he stole them from another vendor.
  7. Forgot to mention how good Eyes of the World was in the second set.
  8. Second set ended with a playin reprise. What a show. I don't think I would have been that excited seeing this setlist on paper but I absolutely loved the show. Loser and Stella Blue were highlights for me in the first set. There were a lot of mellow songs played but the energy in the room was incredible. Loved the trade off on vocals between Warren and Bobby on a few songs, can't remember which ones. So wish I was going to see them again this summer. Great shakedown down going on down the street from HSBC before the show too.
  9. I feel really lucky. Had at least 6 sets of tickets and always got an error. row f, d, m couple in balcony. Ended up with Row A (2nd row) WOW, can't believe it.
  10. 303 Row 9 here sure sold out fast
  11. Did anyone hear the version of Creep that was played on Howard Stern recently? It was by Amanda Palmer (from the Dresden Dolls). She sings it solo acousitc on ukelele. It's pretty awsome. Here are a few diff versions. I will have to check out this GM version.

PhishTaper got us cheap seats in sec 108 beside/behind the stage I can still get tons of floors in rows 24-43. Does not seem to be selling very fast after the initial lockout. It is a tuesday night.
  13. didn't take long for plant to quash this rumour http://www.billboard.com/bbcom/news/article_display.jsp?vnu_content_id=1003855970
  14. By the way, AC/DC is at the Rogers Centre on the same night. Maybe Artie will head over and sing "For Those About to Rock" with them. Fire! They can fit some big cannons in the Rogers Centre.
  15. Friday Nov 7, 2008 8:00 PM Artie Lange with Reverend Bob Levy & Colin Quinn hosted by Shuli It is already on sale. Supposedly there is a friends first presale right now (i am a member but did not get a notification of this). But, it seems that anyone can get tickets through the Massey Hall Website right now. I was pulling up the same tix through friends first link that i could get through the general MH buy tickets link. I did not have to log in. I called the box office because I wanted centre aisle floor seats and the woman wouldn't sell me anything without a FF account even though you can get them on the website. They don't seem to know what is going on with their website. It is also already onsale through TM but you get the sold out screen if you try there. I can't imagine it will sell out at these prices $144 for 2 tickets with SC. Should be a good one. Colin Quinn is always hilarious on the Stern show.

  17. I thought the show was amazing. The pit was packed on the right side but you could go up very close on the left, and it was very spacious. We took a stroll around during the end of the set and when we went back in on the right side we couldn't move but there was still tons of space on the left side. I liked this one so much better than the show I saw at the hummingbird.
  18. not HD but the preview I saw of the walnut creek show that is coming out was pretty amazing. it was a jam in mike's song. http://www.vimeo.com/1387371

  20. Wow, this year was awesome. I discovered so many new acts. I loved The Magic. We Are Wolves was so much fun. Space invader style costumes at the start were a nice touch. So much energy. Spiral Beach was very cool. They came back out after much coaxing at the end of their set and did one of the shortest encores ever (basically just a few beats) and it was quite hilarious when they immediately walked back off, saying they didn't know any more songs. It was probably my favorite time seeing BSS. One minute we were at the very far back by the lake taking it all in and then the next we were right up close to the stage. Magical for me. Dubblestandard/Mr SS workshop was one of the best things I saw and it was at 11 AM. Skipped the gospel hour to catch this workshop and it was so worth it. Dubblestandart main stage was also fun. I had only seen Bell Orchestre once before and was so underwhelmed but the Hillside set definitely clicked for me. Plants and Animals were on fire. I had seen them twice before and this was by far their best performance to me. I heard a bit of Lights and definitely have to check them (or is it her) out in the future. I wish I had seen Miracle Fortress but missed them. I heard they were great. Hawksley Workman put on a very weird set. It was mostly his older songs mixed with a lot of well known covers (Zeppelin, Queen and others I can't remember). Supposedly he did not play a single song off his new album. I liked what I heard of his set. Cowboy Junkies were supposedly more jammy than usual. Did not see much of them. Anyway there are too many other bands I caught part of that made this one of my favourite years. I have some friends who went to this years festival who had a horrible time and did not see one band that they liked. What a downer. I can't see how you can have a bad time at Hillside.
  21. I was planning on catching moe but unfortuantely was sick. I just found this link the other day. There sure are a lot of different festival/weekly music type events going on in WNY, other than the thursday in the square and now wednesdays at the gorge and tuesdays at artpark. A lot of classic rock type stuff, Nazareth, Lou Gramm. Dark Star Orch is playing Aug 2 in Tonowanda, Hornsby Aug 9. I think I will have to check out this band called Gov't Rule. sounds awesome. I don't think I had seen this link on here before but maybe I missed it. http://www.bestofwny.com/concerts_festivals/
  22. Did anyone go. I was really hoping to catch this but just couldn't do it. http://www.buffalonews.com/entertainment/story/388893.html
  23. How was the show last night? We were going to try to get tickets outside but got busy and didn't end up making it.
  24. We are thinking about going but I am not sure if wristbands would be worth it. Last year it seemed like the big shows were tough to get into unless you were there very early and stayed all night. I am also a bit confused about how many wristbands they will let into each show. I know only 50 are allowed in for MMJ so you'd have to line up to get in with a pass. Here are some other bands that are playing (other than those already listed): Pride Tiger, Redd Cross, Royal Wood, Sloan, Teenage Lead (Dundas Square), Besnard Lakes, High Dials, Meligrove Band, Stills, Trews acoustic, Two-hours Traffic, Bedouin Soundclash.
  25. moe is live right now. http://iclips-festival-live-lr.wm.llnwd.net/iclips_festival_live_lr schedule for the rest of the night 6:00 PM CST - Moe. 8:30 PM CST - Moe. 10:00 PM CST - George Clinton 12:00 AM CST - The New Pornographers 1:00 AM CST - The Flaming Lips (5/23) Warning: this show contains nudity. Viewer discretion is advised.
