  1. some pretty decent picks ... nice to see the Rheos up there. i do have a big problem with this, though ... great artists and deserving to be on the list, no doubt, but certainly not that dominant.
  2. fwiw, ive grown to enjoy AD's nit-picking because he's usually right, except, of course, when he disagrees with me and i have no idea what horripilate means but its making the hair on the back of my neck stand up.
  3. the fat man sucked us in, but the shorts kept us comin' back.
  4. on saturday, massey hall, anyone else going? indeed, she's been playing black boys on mopeds, so im a very happy camper.

  6. all it takes is one "idiot" to change the laws ... they thought Paul Magder was an idiot ...

  9. sounds quite reasonable and efficient in your case, sean. especially given the other goods taken. i was just musing more generally ... hilarious that buddy actually gave you back your stuff, tho'
  10. you're just cherry pickin' for the #1 spot, we see right thru you
  11. why would you have to pay the store anything to get back CDs that were stolen from you? didn't the used cd store buy stolen goods and therefore automatically gives up their right over them? i know, it would be a matter of you proving that they were stolen, but i'd think the CD store would possibly be willing to give them back to you, rather than have you call the police, etc. i know, how delightfully naive I am
  12. i would have died with that leopard skin pill box hat opener, especially with bob standing there in all his glory playing guitar. yum. nothing better than a good dylan show. nothing. looking forward to the pics, cap'n and baj
  13. sweet. i wanna be a senator. vote for me! ... now, if I can only get a corporately funded, partisan political team behind me, I can truly become a publicly chosen senator! yay democracy! [/cynicism]

there's a small store in jackson square in downtown hamilton that sells all sorts of this stuff. most of it is crazy looking, or in packages you'd think twice about before opening.

  17. "thousands of dollars to see Hannah Montana"? is this from the Onion?
  18. i sense i confused people with my "dynamic" approach. oops. let's make it simple. pick a Stones or Beatles song, any Stones or Beatles song.
  19. i know a couple of people who've had canon digital cameras and have been very pleased with them. one friend has an older power shot, and Ive always thot it was a great camera. bouche is right about the printer, though. its good for printing a few pics, but will turn into a hassle later on with costs of paper, ink, etc.. i cannot tell from the link, but if the printer is also a docking station (the interface that easily connects the camera to a computer, making uploading idiot-proof) then thats a very nice bonus and definately worth having. edit to add: make sure you note if anything is called "refurbished" when comparing prices, since its essentially a used camera that has gone back to the factory for a tune-up.
  20. agreed. i dont see temporarily confiscating a car in this context as being any different than say, confiscating a hockey stick after you swing it at someone in the parking lot after a game. they are both potentially deadly weapons being used criminally, and its the responsibility of the authorities to remove it from the hands of the violator to protect the rest of us. bottom line is that its unsafe for others around you for you to go that fast in your car. nah, no sense in a confrontation. just shove one of those hard-as-rock honeysticks up his exhaust pipe and watch him sputter and backfire all the way home. ah, good memories.
  21. exactly, bouche always seems to inspire my new avatars ... ok, all this talk about dangerous driving ... it's still ok to get a hummer while driving, just not give one, right?
  22. Well said, Hartamophone. [color:purple]Velvet's post made me wonder if he actually drives.
  23. jeesh, gravy on pizza? beaver tails? what the hell are you people thinking up there?
