i was considering it, but then decided not to... i knew it would be a tough ticket (with no option to transfer if i couldn't make it) and expensive (i don't want to sit in the gallery). however, i would like to see him so i hope he will come back again in the future for more shows. it will definitely be cool and interesting to see the first show back!

that's cool. 48$ per year is crazy good, i'm pretty sure ours is way more than that. there has been several times that velvet spent literally an hour on the phone with them to get charges reversed. to the point where we just decided to pay whatever to keep it continuously so as to never ever have to call them again.

Sirius is notorious for billing you again when you've explicitly said not to. It happens to us every time. They have horrible customer service too.

i got a pair for 11/1 - the row V behind the stage. but hey they're in the building!

sadly it has been way too long since i went out to eat in vancouver! i have no current advice. i don't know if all of these places still exist but i used to love them back in my day... Joe Fortes - seafood, just off Robson Hy's - steak, nondescript door on Hornby st around Dunsmuir, dark and awesome, good drinks too Dutch pannekoek house - on Robson (there are others) for breakfast/brunch Topanga - for burritos, on w. 4th the Naam - great veggie food also on w. 4th umberto's - yellow house, on davie st montri's - thai, on 10th or broadway at alma the sushi place across from the movie theatres on granville, haha daimasu - sushi, on granville ave. (this is in richmond but if you're in richmond for some reason...)

it was a good point though. i wonder if anyone else who was at the show that stayed for the whole thing can chime in. i thought you were be referring to Phish in Oswego but are you referring to the Gorge? i had a great time in Canandaigua the other night, and they opened with Buried Alive and Twist which certainly grabbed my attention actually i liked the first set a lot more than the second set!

that's true enough. like i said, maybe it got better after i left but what i heard was definitely awful.

i thought deltron was awful, even though last time they were at bluesfest i absolutely loved it. there were no horns, unless they came out after i bailed. it did not seem musical to me at all, no guitars or jams, just bad rapping. after 3-4 songs i'd had enough, maybe it got better after that, but the beginning of the set was terrible IMO.

it was OK. it was pretty clear that they hadn't rehearsed and the other guys didn't know what songs they were going to play. the highlight was probably the last song, which was Good Vibrations the other highlight was kevin's banter of course, had me in tears at one point. the show was very short, not much more than an hour, but i was fine with that as it enabled me to get down to Daniel Lanois which was really awesome.
