thanks edger. it was definitely a huge bummer, but i just couldn't get any more time off work. i did get to meet lots of people and visit recipient schools while i was there, and i look forward to being there for the next shipment we send!

no, he's playing just one show at the Bridge School Benefit this year. no tour (that i have heard of.)

also wanted to mention that by buying tix from Neil's site directly, we paid 165$ each, which i believe is about 25$ MORE per ticket than Ticketmaster charged! and this was the early-bird tix. so we lose an extra 50$ because we bought from Neil instead of TM. terrible way to treat your fans.

I am disappointed in Neil too. I know he does whatever he wants, which is fine, and if he doesn't want to play a solo show then he won't, so I can't say I'm surprised by the cancellation. But I always admired him and I have a problem with him not making sure his fans are dealt with fairly. I spend a lot on Neil shows every year, usually seeing several on a tour and traveling (plus I always buy a t-shirt and album). Next tour I'll consider saving that money.

Good job on getting rid of your ticket, I am glad for you that you could! I can't even do that because the only option available to us through Neil's ticketing was will call. So we are screwed.

I'm late to the thread but would like to add my "F Harvest Picnic" in here. I don't understand when businesses cheat or overcharge customers for petty amounts when it is going to cost them thousands in future revenue. Not only will Harvest Picnic be losing more money from me in the merch and other festival stuff I would have bought (beer, food, etc) but now I will never attend this festival again. I should be in Colorado right now but seeing Neil at this show was important to me. I'm not going to spend several hundreds more on gas and hotel now to drive 6-7 hours each way to see Gordon Lightfoot, who I don't enjoy at all. I consider not refunding my ticket stealing. And I will never attend Harvest Picnic no matter who they get in future years. I will never give another nickel to these shameful people. If anyone mentions the Harvest Picnic to me in the future I will tell them that Harvest Picnic and Jean Paul Gauthier cheated us. F those guys.

i'm with you.. i was very happy we got some live music that night and even though there were some issues with, well everything, at the venue, i was still just glad the show went on!

i didn't think anybody blamed phish. obviously they wanted to play, and it was not their fault. backtracking 8 hours after a 3 day run in chicago is not exactly great for them either, but i'm sure they want to do their best for the fans.

totally. it sure seemed obvious to cancel the night before or morning of...but lots of people incurred flights, hotels, etc because they waited until just one hour before the show?! just got home now. mostly i'm just sad that i can't go to the make-up show on the 22nd which is going to rage obviously. had a really fun night regardless and it was great to see everyone and catch up and drink beers until morning. thanks to BNB for playing!
