  1. If it's the same one I'm thinking of from the late 80s (has to be, not many buses like that on tour), I remember being told not to get on it then...lol
  2. I'm trying for the first twitter restraining order, or a free pizza sub.
  3. Unfortunately, they get around that easily enough with the whole "reasonable grounds" to believe of criminal activity (includes driving). "I smell alcohol" "I smell marijuana" "..was driving erratically" Regardless if it's wrong or right, if you dispute/refuse the sobriety test, they'll take you in. If they claim the odor of marijuana, and ask to search and you say no, they can use the reasonable grounds bullshit to arrest you then search. Arguing with them never helps, especially on the side of the road. [color:red]edited on the advice of a friend, I said more then I needed to. But, lets just say I know all to well about the bullshit, I knew my rights, stood up for myself and still got popped and I'll elaborate more privately if you want.
  4. I don't know about the legality of pulling you over and all, but about the beer - I had my ma ask the cops she works with (corrections Canada aka: fed. parole) because my brother and law & I were talking about having to put beer in the trunk just a couple weeks ago - according to the cop she spoke to, as long as it is in the backseat, not within easy access of the driver and unopened its not illegal, especially if the driver isn't drunk. This has always been my understanding too.

    Miami NYE

I'm sure ya'll know already, but in case some don't its announced on phish.com and apparently on twitter. http://www.phish.com/nyemiami2009/
  6. Cool, just checking as I had filled mine earlier today before seeing your post.
  7. Did you set the quantity for 2 or just go through normally with it set to 1? I set mine for 2 (cost me 100pts) but I haven't heard back ye for the Hamilton show. [edit to add] I got my confirmation that I was entered but reading the official rules it says that the contest runs from nov.9 2009 until noon hour jan.11th 2010 (Hamilton show is jan.24th), seems its different for each show. So, I guess I'll know then. Also, 100pts gives me two entries..lol, wish I had read the rules first, could of saved myself 50pts.
  8. I was having issues yesterday & today, but both times I opened it in IE (instead of FF) and everything worked fine. Go figure.
  9. Pretty out there story that's for sure. Listening to the tracks now, track 3 is different and made me wonder. Interesting mix none the less. Thanks for the link, I posted this on another board.
  10. Some of my earliest clearest memories include Sesame Sreet - Wyoming 1973 (I was 3), my father was working just outside Rawlins and brought us down to live for a year, I remember watching Sesame Street (and Price is right) in the mornings.
  11. I decided to try this out last night after posting here. I have about 25 different Dylan vids on my computer (4-5min ones), all avi or wmv, set them up, found them with orb easy enough but myself or a friend who I sent the link to couldn't view them, apparently my channel (set to private) is to busy to show them.
  12. I forgot there was an opener. But the name of the band was The Warped 45s
  13. "The only thing worse than having a mullet is having a fake mullet"
  14. Oh yeah, another thing from last night that I thought was pretty cool was the two tables of food they had laid out - cheese & crackers (numerous cheeses), fruit platters, bread, cold cuts etc. Stylin' way to enjoy a show, especially since I skipped dinner. I even won a JD toque at the triva table, I shoulda done what Geordie did and kept goin back, for the rest of the stuff they were givin' away.
  15. Fucking awesome. Wow, what a beauty. Thanks for posting the pics and once again, congratulations.
  16. You would think so, but I still wonder about the copyright law issue. For sake of discussion, I could setup & start broadcasting using shoutcast, and since I don't have unlimited bandwidth the number of possible listeners is restricted depending on my connection speed, for example someone with a 512k DSL can only host about 4-5 listeners at 128kbps. I would still be expected (required) to pay royalties if I was to play music. Reading the shoutcast forums in the past when I was giving it a try, it seems people have had legal issues and many pay royalties through getting accounts with places like loudcity (internet broadcasting company) since Loudcity holds a webcastng license which takes care of the copyright issue when you pay for your subscription. Still though its a cool idea, there have been times like my friday poker nights where my buddy Geordie has said it would be good to be able to stream off my computer at his house since we have a very different collection of music and somthing like that would be useful. Especially for playing some of the 300GB+ of concert dvd I have on my pc. Out of curiosity I sent an email to orb inquiring about the copyright deal, see what happens when (or if) they get back to me. I think I know the answer, but figured it was worth asking since they don't mention anything about it on their site (that I could find anyway)
  17. Very small crowd that's for sure, but no lack of energy and enthusiasm. It was pretty funny seeing no other liquor behind the bar except Jack. Great set, glad to hear some new material live I wasn't familiar with - was really happy to catch Love Like This, LTBR, Whiskey w/o women and another great Zip City (I just love this song). Awesome running into so many folks I hadn't seen in quite a long time - I really need to start going to shows again, what a fun night - you just gotta love a free show like that. Best sunday service yet. And cheers to boiler rat, what a score. How's about you share a pic with us BR?
  18. Sunday service with DBT, 5 beers into my day - get ready..

  20. Your name needs to be on the guest list. The email is not the ticket.
  21. True enough, even if they aren't in the stadium.
