  1. Cheers Rob, great to see ya around these parts. Yeah, it sure brought some old memories to the surface - all great - its crazy how seeing some video can send me spiraling into the past, man, I can't really think of anything much more fun then that summer.
  2. Shaking my skull with the sennheisers on, some scotch to drink & some widow x blueberry to fill the room with blue smoke...and
  3. Just cracked open bottle number two of Wisers & got more beer on the way...gonna be a sloppy evening 'round here.. can't wait to hit the scotch my bro brought from Scotland.
  4. For audio I have Sony Soundforge 8 & for video I have Sony Vegas V.7.0 & Sony DVD Architect 4.0.
  5. Actually, reading the first post of this one will really help people. Seriously.
  6. Same. I can't think of any article I've ever read that made me want to go to a show based on what was written. I usually try to find some mp3s to check out & if possible a live recording, thats what usually gets me out to a show. And I agree with the Rolling Stone comment, its pretty much the MTV of print to me, when somthing gets a poor review it seems I like the stuff & what they priase I usually don't like.
  7. Say hello for me/Esau if you cross paths with her again could you Mike, I miss seeing her around here.
  8. Traders Den, Pink Robert, Dime, Yeeskull, bt.dylantree are a few of the places. Also, I started what I call a downloading team, there is three of us that download video non-stop & keep in contact daily to make sure we don't download the same stuff & then once a month or so we burn two copies of everything we got & exchange with each other. Sometimes I'm downloading a DVD I don't want but one of the other guys does but can't due to the load he has going. At any given time I have between 4 & 10 DVDs downloading & uploading.

  10. The year of my first full summer tour & two of my favourite shows I ever saw. Interesting video, mostly about the people. I'm hoping to see myself in there and have a laugh at a 17 year ol Greg. Running time: 2 hr 3 min 53 Grateful Dead - Teullride CO 1987-08-16
  11. I'm sorta addicted to video recording now, so maybe I'll set that up for this show - Fatties & DD on DVD - this appeals to me.
  12. I transfered mine from vinyl to CD a few years back - well, I had it done for me as my turntable doesn't work. Guess I never thought of it as that obscure since it got so much play around here over the years. Awesome album.
  13. Thanks Sean, when I get to making the DVD for the Hamilton show (I recorded the video) I might end up contacting you about using a few pics for the few minutes during 'Lookout Mtn' when my camera got turned off. That way for the few minutes that are missing I could insert a few pics and keep the entire audio intact. I will of course give credit where its due. I'll have to see if every worked out as well as it looks on the handycam & it'll be a few weeks as I'm waiting for the audio & am learning how to sync audio/video - if all else fails I have a US friend who will do it for me. [edit to add] Sweet freakin pics by the way!
  14. Maybe not that obscure, but one of my all time favourites is, Ambulance Blues.
  15. For first few days, I printed out the numbers 1 to 100, cut the paper/numbers into squares & actually drew from a hat. Last night for yesterdays, I had my nephew pick a number. The 4 random numbers mentioned above I selected for the 2 DVD option, I randomly picked outta my head & wrote them down before posting this last night. They are spread out pretty good, depending on how many resposes there is, some of the numbers may never be reached. Although, they are all below 100 (theres a hint)
  16. I can't really wait for the morning & since its now friday anyway what the hell right...Ok folks, its the last day of the DVD give-aways, so I've put together in my opinion a great collection to finish it off with. I hope this makes sense & works. This time though, things will be a bit different in order to win. All the multiple posting makes it sorta boring, so heres how it'll go this time: [color:red]POST AS MANY TIMES AS YOU WANT, BUT YOU CANNOT MAKE ANY DOUBLE POSTS. THERE MUST BE POSTS FROM TWO DIFFERENT PEOPLE BEFORE YOU CAN POST AGAIN. BREAKING THIS RULE WILL GET YOU DISQUALIFIED! Also, to make things a bit more interesting I've picked 4 random numbers already & whoever hits those numbers will be able to select whatever show(s) (2 DVDs in total) they want from my list, although if you do hit that number and accept my offer you'll be out of the running for the big package (if you accept, please don't post anymore), but you can pass it on to the next person in line, ultimately knocking them out of the running, should they choose to take it and then hope your post is the number selected for the full package. But, you could also end up with nothing! When one of these numbers is hit I will contact the person via PM, hopefully ASAP after they post to see if they want to accept. If not I will ask the next person (next post) in line, all I ask is that you keep it to yourself until after this is over so no-one knows if they have been hit yet. Since its friday and the last day for me doing this, I'm going to let this run until sunday oct.22 @ 11:59pm & announce the winner sometime monday. Now for the goods - 12 DVDs in total!!: [color:blue]Van Morrison - Winterland Arena 1974-02-02 (1 DVD) Fat Cats - Red, Gold & Blue Live @ The El Mocambo 2004 (1 DVD) Tom Waits - Carre Amsterdam 2004-11-21 (1 DVD) Memorial For Bill Graham - 1991-11-03 (1 DVD) Welcome To the Fillmore East - 1970-09-23 (1 DVD) Jimi Hendrix -Haleakala Crater, Maui, Hawaii July 30, 1970 (1 DVD) Phish Bluegrass Sessions - 1994 (1 DVD) Bob Dylan & The Band - Isle Of Wight 1970 & Johnny Cash Show 1969 (Dylan only) (1 DVD) The Grateful Dead - Radio City Music Hall (closed circuit broadcast) 1980-10-31 (4 DVDs) Setlists & further info on every DVD can be found here: http://www.phishhook.com/lists/Esau Nice little boost to the DVD collection eh folks. I guess I'll be burning for the weekend. Cheers & good luck [color:red]** As always, my posts will not count & subsitutes will be given if you already have any of the DVDs listed above. NOTE: I've re-read this many times & it makes sense to me, so if something doesn't make sense to you please ask me via PM & since my post(s) do not count, I will post the reply in this thread with your question (quoted) & the answer for others to see. All DVDs won this week will be mailed monday oct.23
  17. Well, just before my nephew heads for bed, I asked him to pick a number between 1 & 95 (total of posts at the time minus my initial post). 70 was the number he picked and that turns out to be jayr. PM me a mailing address. Tomorrow will be the last day of the give-aways (for now) and will be different then the previous give-aways. It will also be a nice mixed bag of different artists, I think folks will be pleased. Marc0 - Sorry buddy, I loved the poem though & hey since we cross paths at PJC on occasion I'll make sure to set ya up proper with some Beatles, as well that Stones 2 DVD set I promised ya. As I've mentioned on many occasions here, anyone wants to trade (I only trade for video now-a-days) I'm always looking for more music & I will do B&Ps no problem for audio or video - I will trade audio if its Dylan, The Gourds, Daniel Lanois or Gordon Lightfoot.

Alright, running late today after an amzing DBT show last night, just got back to steeltown about a half hour ago...argh, my foot is killing me..lol Just post in this thread, as many times as you want & since I'm late in getting this going, I'll draw the winner later, so between 9 & 10pm tonight, I'll draw a number outta a hat and match it up with a post in this thread Anyway, heres whats up today: The Beatles - Chronology 1 (1 DVD) The Beatles - Chronology 2 (1 DVD) More info here: Chronology 1&2 The Beatles - Get Back, Let It Be Outtakes & Winter of Discontent (2 DVDs) Special Bonus tracks: August 22, 1962.
