  1. Great to see Bouche & Ms. Hux and all the Daves. Definitely one of those "These Are The Daves I Know I Know" moments...

As per usual, The Sisters played their collective asses off. Last week saw "The Weight" for the first time and this week "Cripple Creek" made it's debut which led into Tumbleweed Tea.

The encore was an incredibly sweet "Helpless" and thanks to Sharon, I was more than a little choked up when she leaned over and said "I can't listen to this without the Punk". Words cannot be more true....Very fitting as well as the Punk is about to haul anchor and make his way back to PEI.

Bouche has a small mountain of pictures and music from last night to keep him busy for the next few weeks. Hopefully we'll see some pics posted from last night shortly...

  2. Nothing slides by CyberHippie... :)

Ya, sorry, just havin' a wee bit o' fun. Sisters are definitely at The Orbit tonight. They've really been tearing it up lately. Lotsa fun goin' on...

Jake Langley, another amazing Toronto guitarist, who now plays with Joey De Francesco, filled in for The Sisters one night and dubbed themselves "The Brothers Palmerston". I recorded that night and what a night it was. The Orbit Room never disapoints when it comes to live music!

  3. Band usually hits the stage between 10:00/10:30. Best $6.00 you'll spend...

Word to the wise. On sunny days like today after the city had come out of a long, bitter winter, the place will be hopping tonight. Patio out back for those who need to smoke their herb of choice but you didn't hear that from me....

See ya'll tonight. Should be fun...but then again, when isn't it.....

  4. Well, let's do the math...

Avg weight of festival male 180/190 lbs x 2

    80 lbs water

    120 lb cast iron tub

oh, and if the male(s) are hung like Ron Jeremy, feel free to add on a lb or two...

I'm sure that some carefully stacked cases of your favourite brew could provide ample support...as long as the cases are not too close to the flames...but that oould always make things interesting.

Place your bets...when will the asses end up in the coals????

Too much fun for a Wednesday

    Cheers

  5. Well, what is there to say except that it was an incredible night. The music and tales that were offered up to those of us in attendance was soaked up enthusiastically.

...and who was that in the crowd??? Oh, yes, Daniel Lanois. Not much of a surprise that Kevin's percussionist, Jorn Anderson, is a good friend and plays with Mr. Lanois.

And fortunatel I have the board and audience mix all recorded and about to transer it in to Pro Tools for mixing and mastering.

    How Sweet!!!!

    Cheers',

  6. {{{{{{{{{{Positive Vibes for Neil}}}}}}}}}}

What can I say? I share the same birthday as Neil; when first started playing guitar it was Neil that got me going "Sugar Mountain" being one of the first tunes I learned. One of my favourite live shows was Neil Young & The International Harvesters" at Halifax's Metro Centre.

Thanks for keeping us Young Neil!!!

    Long May You Run!

    Cheers,
