  1. Sergei Samsonov, professional hockey player on the Carolina Hurricanes, decided not to pick himself in a hockey pool last week. The hockey pool involved 12 of his friends and required each participant to pick 25 players (300 players in total were chosen) for their team. Therefore, Samsonov had plenty of opportunities to pick himself, but chose not to. Samsonov’s decision comes as no surprise as his performance over the last few years has been atrocious. “Why would I pick myself when I know that I’m going to do terrible this season,†said Samsonov. “I will probably start off very promising in the beginning of the season, but then eventually I will fall back into the over-rated player that I really am.†Sadly, other hockey pool participants were not so lucky in their decisions to pick Samsonov. “I picked him in the 9th round,†said Mike Cander, a 23 year old student from Calgary. “His name is ‘Sergei’ and he’s a Russian hockey player so I figured he must be good.†Mike, and thousands of other hockey poolies across Canada, can only hope that this year Sergei isn’t Samson-off. In other words, they better pray for a miracle that he doesn’t have another terrible season and spoil their chances for winning their pools. In other words, don’t pick Samsonov, unless you want to suck.
  2. I cant seem to find one of these:
  3. I am going to blast my Keystone cd's tonight.
  4. Liquid lunch? You are dreaming if you think Chris Kelly is going to bring you good value back. Talk about over-evaluating palyers on your own team. Vermette still has some potential that a GM might trade for but if you havent been able to heavily produce on one of the best offences in the league the past few years, who's to say you are going to do it elsewhere? Its like the idiots who think Halak and Higgins can get Gaborik on the Habs. Even without salary cap concerns, PLEASE.
  5. Dinghy, if you are being serious at all, are you just calling for a trade just to call for a trade? Or do you actually see where the Sens need improvement and which players they may be able to send out to get you said improvement? Because if you want to trade those players, you aint going to get much in return. What do you realistically think Chris Neil would bring back to the Sens if he were traded?
  6. We've been collecting acorns to give out to the kids. That seems like all the rage these days.
  7. Yahoo is blocked in here as well. I can only make moves when I am drunk, like tonight! Keep an eye out for crAzy trade offers.
  8. Listen to me close, because I'm only going to say this once. You either break off your engagement with that singing buffoon, apologize, and then date me, or you can say goodbye to this [gestures toward his groin]

  10. You didnt howl at Michael while he was auctioneering? Or him talking to the new chick about their upcoming date? At the very least, I figure this must have nailed you: "It squeaks when you bang it.........thatswhatshesaid."
  11. You could find a family doctor but cant find 10 acorns?
  12. Last night was easily the strongest of the season. I havent been too enamoured with the start thus far but that was a great one. No one steals from Creed Bratton.
  13. Well, its incredibly early but I think the Leaf kids have been working hard this season and I have been impressed with their determination and grit most of the time I have seen them play. I cant say the same for the Sens.
  14. Best.Mom.Ever. Thanks for spitting me out of your canal.
  15. Based on the fact they arent the Sens. But honestly, based on that game alone bonehead. And speaking of boneheads, wtf do some people think fights should happen based on clean checks? Wanna get them back? Start amping your play and take away what the other team thought was a sure victory. That's what the Leafs did.
  16. .........except on the scoresheet. These Leafs have more balls than teams of recent past.
