  1. afro - the links will be posted near game time. Just got great news - I will be at Game 1 in FREE tickets!! I have my season seats for games 2 and 7 - this is gonna be great! 23 hours, 40 minutes 'til tip!
  2. They usually post links to streams in the game threads on the Raptors forum at realgm.com
  3. In about 11 hours, we will know who the Raps will be hosting in the first round. I think the Nets will lose to Chicago tonight, as the Bulls need the win (or a Cleveland loss to the miserable Bucks) to secure the 2 seed. That being said, it should all come down to Washington's game vs. the Pacers tonight. If the Nets lose AND the Wiz win, we face the Wizards, otherwise, Wince Harder and the Nets are the opponent. Don't think you can get a more intense first round match-up than that. We did our season ticket draft for the playoffs round 1, and I will be at Game 2 and Game 7 (if nec.)
  4. Marky (if you are out there) - any chance of a Toronto addition?
  5. Phish frontman pleads guilty to drug charge April 13, 2007 FORT EDWARD, N.Y. -- Former Phish lead singer Trey Anastasio pleaded guilty this morning to fifth degree attempted criminal possession of a controlled substance in Washington County Court. Anastasio, 42, a part-time Richmond resident, was ordered by Judge Kelly McKeighan into drug treatment court and his sentencing was postponed until he completes or fails the program. "If he fails, he would be sentenced to 1 to 3 years in state prison. If he succeeds, he would be sentenced to 5 years probation," McKeighan said. The guilty plea comes four months after a Whitehall, N.Y., police officer pulled over Anastasio's 2004 Audi for failing to keep right as he drove north on U.S. 4 at about 3:30 a.m. on Dec. 15, according to court papers. He failed a sobriety test and was taken into custody. He subsequently pleaded not guilty to a seven-count indictment that included three felonies and carried a possible prison sentence of up to 14 years. With the plea agreement, Anastasio also agreed to wave his right to appeal. Because this is a felony conviction, should he be convicted of any other felony in next 10 years, that would require a mandatory prison sentence. Anastasio refused to comment to media assembled outside the courthouse, saying only "Sorry," as climbed into a black limousine van as he departed. Anastasio will relocate from New York City, where he lives with his wife and two children, to Washington County for at least the first the first three months of the drug treatment program, his attorney, Steve Coffey, said. He faces random drug testing on any day. "He calls in, they say 'Today's the day," and he's got to be here by 9:30 (a.m.). The drug court will put his touring on indefinite hold, Coffey said. "That will be a while," the attorney said. "He's accepted that." His first appearance in drug court will be next week. "I'll see you next week," the judge said.
  6. Done and done. Congrats on reaching your goal!
  7. The Bobcats did the Raps a real favour sweeping the Heat in a home and home series. Raptors magic number to clinch the 3 seed and homecourt advantage in the first round is now 2. 2 Raps wins or Heat losses it's a done deal. Flip Saunders (Head Coach, Pistons) has said that he will rest his starters the rest of the way, so with two games upcoming against the Pistons, and games against Philly and New York, you gotta think the 3 seed is locked in. Our playoff tickets arrived today!
  8. While second isn't out of the question, the fact that they would need to pass 2 teams makes it highly unlikely. The best case scenario for the Raps is to finish in the 3 seed and have Washington hold on to 6th. Raptors need to finish off the season 4 and 1 to guarantee the 3 seed and home court in round one - tonight's game in Minny is crucial, with 2 games vs. Detroit upcoming. Don't look now, but the Nets have a shot of catching that 6th seed too.
  9. You've never heard of games being postponed due to weather?
  10. I really don't understand why they weren't fouling Shaq with 4+ minutes to go - he got a couple of easy buckets when he would have struggled to make one of two each time form the line. Hopefully they can come back tonight with a win in Orlando, then trounce a BAD Philly team on Friday.
  11. I have to admit, when Garbo went down I thought we would be easy first round fodder. Now I am hoping that we meet the Wiz in round one. With Butler out and Bargs back, we would have a decent chance to move to round two. The turnaround that we have witnessed is shocking. Colangelo should be a shoe-in for Executive of the Year.
  12. The NBA announced Thursday the Raptors turned some heads in January. . In the Eastern Conference: Bargnani - Rookie of the Month Mitchell - Coach of the Month Bosh - Player of the Month Mike Ulmer - Raptors.com You know you’re hot when Sports Illustrated dispatches a reporter to your town. You know you’re hot when your best player is voted on to the all-star team. And you know you’re hot when the boys at NBA New York take notice. The on-court arrival of the Toronto Raptors won’t be confirmed until they qualify for the playoff for the first time since 2002. Thursday, the off-court rebirth of the team was confirmed with a stunning three-peat: rookie of the month, Andrea Bargnani; player of the month, Chris Bosh; coach of the month, Sam Mitchell. Game, set, match. It is believed to be the first time the league has bestowed all three monthly awards on the same franchise. It comes after a month in which the Raptors surged past the .500 margin for the first time this season with a 10-5 mark for the month. "It is great to see the NBA recognize Sam, Chris and Andrea for their contributions to the turn-around of the Raptors franchise,†said general manager Bryan Colangelo. “The awards also speak to the contributions of the entire team and the progress we have made." Bargnani has flashed spectacular upside while chipping in with an average of 11.1 points per game. He has averaged 27 minutes a night.; He and fellow rookie Jorge Garbajosa will participate in the NBA’s Rookie Challenge and Youth Jam this weekend in Las Vegas. Bosh, voted to his first all-star game start, averaged 25.4 points a night. He is the first Raptor, by that I mean the first, ever to win the award. Mitchell, in his third year with the club, and Lenny Wilkens are the only past winners of the award. Expectations of the Raptors have sharpened dramatically since the outset of the season. The spectacular second season turned in by Jose Calderon, Rasho Nesterovic’s strong play and excellent work from T.J. Ford and Anthony Parker have transformed the club. The Raptors are worth watching in a way they haven’t been for years. Thursday’s awards are a benchmark in that renewal. New York is noticing. The rest of the NBA won’t be far behind.
  13. I was a HUGE Sloan fan back in High School. Their live show always impressed, especially seeing them change instruments, lead vocal parts, etc... I was actually at the taping for the video for The Lines You Amend, which was shot at York Univerisity in the same lecture hall I took Biology in.
  14. I am actually quite stunned that he got voted in, with little or no Raptors coverage in the USA. By the way, the NBA All-Star game is shown worldwide - it will be on TV in HK.
  15. This is a new power ranking that is automated, based on several mathematical factors. The Raptors rank high because recent play, strength of schedule, and road/home ratio get a hefty weighting.
  16. Got a call from TD, asking me if I was downtown a half hour ago, making several attempts to withdraw $500 from my account with the wrong PIN. Obviously I was not. Scary to think that this was done. He said they usually rig a store's debit machine and install a camera to capture the PIN - lucky for me I always cover up the keys when entering it. Another friendly reminder to protect your PIN!

OB! - if you go to 407etr.com you can enter your entrance and exit and it will tell you how much it will cost.
  19. Based on last year looks like they draw 17-20k per game. I have no idea how they can afford that salary. Not sure if all teams play each other, but if they do, you can come see Beckham in Toronto this summer.

    Priceline?

    Not sure about that one.

There is definitely an option for Canada. Not sure why you aren't seeing it.
