  11. Big League Chu www.bigleaguechu.com or www.myspace.com/bigleaguechu is the resident dj of the Make it Funky Collective. His organic breaks and off the handle record collection will be sure to make for a groovy night. KING SUNSHINE are also on fire, this being their best line up yet (new singer/keyboardist) and the best album they've ever done. Check it !

  13. !These tickets could be yours Potch... especially if no one challenges you.! Monsieur Slippery, I admit that there is middle of the road r 'n b b/hiphop vibe that could set off some dicerning listeners... I've seen this band play a gamut of great funk/soul covers for the past couple of years, and more recently they've grow into modern Canadian purveyos of original funk/hip hop. They've just won a videofact grant for "WON MORE TIME" and I can already picture the video; scantily clad women/heavy rappers in glossy video treatment on Much Music. I am excited for them and the release of this new album, as they will be touring all over Canada and into the US over the next couple of years. But most of all what I like about God Made Me Funky is their live show. This band is like a travelling party, I dig their energy and personality. They are a must see local act for any Torontonian. The list of band menbers and co collaborators reads like the whos-who of Canadian Hip Hop - Maestro Fresh Wes, Michee Mee, Thurst, Moses Mayes, Pocket Dwellers, Len, etc... I give 'em a big ups for that!
  14. miss you guys.. hopefully this will not be the last Jomomma show in Toronto for 2006...
  15. we must also remember that Page and his wife were breaking up or divorcing near the end of Phish and I think Trey was pretty close to the same fate... (not sure) all of these elements comming into play...sure paint a bleak picture of a band at the height of popularity. 1/ Elevated personal Drug Use by the Band 2/ The "Scene" itself were taking more dangerous drugs 3/ Failing Marriages and strained relationships
