  1. You have a message board with a separate section for food, but you don't want to put a thread about food there because not everyone would check it. Doesn't that very argument suggest that a separate food forum is unnecessary?
  2. Given the time sensitive context of the request I think it's fine to leave this here for the time being. I'll move it after the weekend. Everything copacetic now? no. what does a "time sensitive context" have to do with it? All you're suggesting there is that no-one checks the subforums on a regular basis. You guys created these separate forums; why not adhere to them?
  3. why do we even have separate forums???
  4. This from the dude who said he'd walk out of the bar if the Fat Cats played "Shakedown Street" in Ottawa last year. Yes, "clearly fucked" is right.
  5. I try not to listen to the band I am going to see for several days before the show. Certainly NOT on the way to the venue!
  6. under-estimate JT at your own risk, the dude is talented.
  7. that was my third show, and the one that hooked me in for the next bunch of years.
  8. somebody has a problem with The Pretenders??
  9. First four albums or so are full of great stuff - although all you really need is an early Greatest Hits collection. Their comeback material in the 80's/90's was obviously fluff, but as slabs of cheesy poppy goodness goes, you can't really beat the likes of "Janie's got a Gun" or such like. I enjoy it the same way I enjoy Def Leppard, which is: not at all, but it's still fun.
  10. I didn't know Deeps had a birthday! Happy Birthday buddy. Have a great one!
  11. I wish I could like Sam Roberts but he really kinda bugs me.
  12. edit: I'll try to keep my sarcasm where it belongs..... sorry rossalee.
  13. Her standards are set way high - this can't fail. Easily one of the finest modern era singer/songwriters going.
  14. I knew that Grizzly Bear and Girl Talk would be on the Bonnaroo bill! It's so obvious.
  15. He named his kid Zowie, you know.
  16. I honestly thought this would be the German hair-metal band on, indeed, a plane.
  17. Tone Valcic was the drummer for Holly McNarland for some time (along with Les Cooper on guitar). As far as I know Tyler Stewart is and always has been the drummer for BNL. Perhaps Tone briefly replaced him due to illness or something? No idea. A google search on the correct spelling will get some results. Hope this helps. He's a good guy too. Used to regularly rock my world on percussion with the legendary Hamilton band Uncle Violet.
  18. music biz writer Bob Lefsetz's take on the reunion scene is interesting, and so I share it with y'all:
  19. thanks for the answers though.
  20. well that just sucks.
