  1. Four days of camping at a sweet outdoor venue, with all of that great music, and hundreds (instead of thousands) of people ... sounds like great value to me. Heck, I'd pay $50 for just one night to see Garaj Mahal play at a sweet outdoor venue. Good luck with it keither, wish I could be there! Peace, Mark
  2. I've been a restless sleeper for as long as I can remember. Usually it's when I've got a whole bunch of stuff whirling around in my head. Sometimes I try some of the techniques and things that people have mentioned above, but lots of times I just get up and do things. I've had some extremely productive times at strange hours over the years. This morning I got up at 4:30 a.m., wide awake with a head full of thoughts, which is why I am writing this message at a ridiculously early hour. As soon as I'm done writing I plan on playing some guitar. I figure that's a better option than tossing and turning in bed. The one downside of my "get up and do things strategy" is that it can make for a tough day at work once the tiredness sets in. Hmmm, I didn't really give you much advice for getting (back) to sleep. I guess my advice is to treat the problem as an opportunity ... I'm very much looking forward to seeing you on your wedding day! I am positive that you will look absolutely beautiful no matter how much or how little sleep you get! Peace, Mark
  3. Ditto ... I'd love to be able to walk, bike or cab ride to some of the above shows! Peace, Mark

  5. Was that Brie (spelling?) that bought the band a round of shots at the end of the night? If yes, thanks to Brie! If no, thanks to whoever did! Peace, Mark
  6. I had a lot of fun on Saturday night at The Boathouse! Ryan didn't end up making it out to play with us, but timouse surprised us all by showing up and he ended up sitting in on piano, which was great. Lots of jamming and many smiles and laughs all night long. Thanks to everyone who made it out ... it ended up being a beautiful night, and The Boathouse is a sweet venue on a warm night. Peace, Mark

  14. Wow, lots of fun packed into a short amount of time! I was only there from about 6 p.m. on Sat. to 6 a.m. on Sunday. It was drizzly for much of Saturday night, and as dawn set in my ride wanted wanted to head out as we didn't have proper gear for the wet weather. Musically, I thought that Caution Jam was brilliant. I'm very glad I was able to catch one last show by them with Mark Crissinger. Thanks for the shirt Mark, and all the best to you as you head out west on your journey! Peace, Mark
  15. Just bought tickets this morning Peace, Mark
  16. I've been thinking about you, my friend, and your name will undoubtedly come up later on today and tomorrow at Frontier Town. You and Leanne will be missed up there, that's for sure. I assume that you are still in "waiting" mode? Please let us know as soon as possible when you become a Dad. I've been to lots of shows, and nothing will blow your mind like the one you are about to experience. I'm sure that Leanne will feel the same way, but for different reasons! Seriously though, becoming a parent is mind-blowing in so many ways! I'm excited for the two of you as you head out on this incredible journey. Peace, Mark
  17. Wow George, that hurts! Ok, now I'm pissed off!! I'm going to call you right now. And I'll be keeping my eyes and ears open. Peace, Mark
  18. Holy guacamole, another show to add to the So ... many ... shows ... to ... see ... list! Peace, Mark
  19. Tim, I'm really happy for you and niffermouse! I know that you have been trying to make something like this happen for a while now, and I'm glad that it is finally materializing for you. Obviously I will miss having you in the area, but the music will be more magical than ever when we do get together to play. Huge hugs and the best of luck to both of you! Peace, Mark
  20. It always amazes me how much the Buffalo area has to offer in terms of free concerts. They certainly support the arts! There is some stuff listed on this page, with lots more to follow in the near future: free Buffalo area concerts Peace, Mark
  21. So far for sure: Come Together Music Fest Gratefulfest ABB/Ratdog at Darien Lake And lots of possibilities, depending on how things unfold: MSMW at Toronto Jazz Fest Lose Yer Shoes CTMF Labour Day weekend Oteil & The Peacemakers at PJC and a bunch more I'm sure I'm forgetting Stoked! Peace, Mark
  22. Wowszie wow wow ... I have no doubt it will be an awesome show! Peace, Mark
  23. Passenger has also been added to the Sunday afternoon lineup. That Sunday afternoon lineup is looking very tasty musically. Peace, Mark
  24. the board can be misleading at times... have seen shows where I thought it'd be packed because 30 people roll called and the show was actually not too busy' date=' and seen the exact opposite loads of times (no interest online, jammed at the club)... there's always a few hundred people at the fests I don't know who've never heard of jambands.ca and many of the bands playing... just there for the good times... gonna be a beautiful weekend, sure there'll be lots of happy bodies party'n down [/quote'] Well said Paisley. I really don't have an idea how many people will be there, but I'm guessing that there will be a number of new faces at this one, given that there are a number of bands and performers that have never played at a Come Together Fest. And nice weather will undoubtedly help to bring people out. Looking forward to having a blast with whoever ends up making the journey! Peace, Mark
