  1. Made a trip to Toronto earlier tonight with my wife and two children to check out Cirque du Soleil (Kooza). Wow! It was our first live Cirque experience and we were all blown away. Amazing human performances, lots of laughs, excellent live music that complemented the performances, wicked costumes, etc. We had sweet seats which made it even more special. Pricey, but definitely worth it. Peace, Mark
  2. Looking forward to a great day and night at Darien Lake, camping out with friends and taking in some tasty music. Peace, Mark

    GOTV 2007

Thanks for adding your thoughts Baj. It sounds like GOTV was a great time this year, even with some poor weather for part of the festival. Peace, Mark
  4. Happy birthday Ollie!!! I'll also use this post to say thanks for the copy of the NRPS show that you gave to me a while back. I've passed on copies to a few friends who were at the show, and they were very appreciative. Peace, Mark
  5. We were staying at a cottage in Lake of the Woods. It was "off the grid" and was powered by a combination of solar and propane. It sure made me think about the benefits of being off the grid ... Peace, Mark
  6. 14. When nero is playing, don't get in my dance space. 15. When nero is playing, don't talk to me. Ms Hux rules! Love ya Sharon!
  7. Congrats and all the best to the three of you! Peace, Mark

    GOTV 2007

Thanks for the GOTV review captainsunshine ... I enjoyed reading it ... nice to read that GOTV was a blast. Other than the ridiculously long wait at the gate last year, I really enjoyed it. How was the lineup to get in this year? Peace, Mark
  9. Big congrats! Wishing the two of you a lifetime filled with love and happiness. Peace, Mark
  10. It looks like a great festival keither ... good luck with everything! Peace, Mark
  11. Three comments/questions: 1. I like that a person can now be added to a private topic. This will come in handy at times. I certainly don't want Willy to miss any shows or parties! 2. How soon is soon for the expiry of private topics?!? I hope that this can be changed or adjusted. A box to check that lets them last for infinity would be nice. Or should I back up anything that I need? Keep us updated on this one please Mike. 3. Thanks for all that you do! Peace, Mark
  12. Lots of excellent blues in downtown Kitchener this weekend, much of it is free. Kitchener Blues Festival web site Peace, Mark
  13. Love the positive energy and infectious smile ... it's always a party when Large Marge is around! Peace, Mark
  14. Thanks for the heads up. Paisley always speaks highly of this band. It looks like lots of solid talent is booked for the festival, including a band I've heard good things about called The Surly Young Bucks. Peace, Mark
  15. Friday night with the Fatties and Diesel Dog will be a blast, anniversary show or not. I know that the band played a 10 year anniversary show of sorts up at Frontier Town for the CTMF Labour Day 2002 festival. I look forward to hearing about an "official" 15 year anniversary show if and when one materializes. Peace, Mark
  16. The schedule should be coming soon. Friday night is looking really good for jam fans ... at least I think it's going to play out that way ... from what I can tell, the Fatties are playing on the main stage on Friday night, followed by Diesel Dog in the saloon. Somebody please confirm or correct me if I'm wrong. Plus it's being billed as the Fat Cats 15 year anniversary show, so it should be sweet!!! Peace, Mark
  17. All the best to you Mike as you head back up to Thunder Bay! Peace, Mark
  18. Glad to read that you are enjoying your summer Mr. King. Thanks for the review ... it sounds like Hillside was excellent this year. Peace, Mark
  19. Hope you all had a blast at Lose Yer Shoes! Would love to read some stuff from those who attended as you start trickling back home. Peace, Mark
  20. What he said. Positive vibes to you all ... Peace, Mark
  21. Happy birthday Mike ... thanks for all that you do!!! Peace, Mark
  22. Wow, after being away for a few weeks, I'm back and am excited to see such a great lineup for the Labour Day weekend Come Together Festival! A nice mix of regular festival favourites and exciting acts that are new to the festival. Peace, Mark
  23. Lovin' the love and kind words ... it's easy to wear a smile when surrounded by wonderful people, both in person and in cyberspace. 43 years old, and still feeling 33 ... the last 10 years or so have been golden for this guy. Still lots of ups and downs on this journey through life, but the basline is at a much higher level than it was when I was a teen or in my 20's. I just wish I could run the last 10 years through my Line 6 looper to relive some magic and add some more effects before moving on, as life is moving much too quickly for my liking. 43 is great, but I must admit, I get a little freaked out if I think too much about what's next. Remember yesterday, dream of tomorrow, live for today ... Peace, love and hugs to the wonderful group of skanks I've connected with over the years. Mark
  24. Well said Blurry ... I'm in a similar situation. Some day I'll get to Dover for Friday the 13th ... Peace, Mark
  25. I'm trying my best to follow this advice! Hopin' to make it, that's for sure! Peace, Mark
