  1. Wasn't Jays candy-armed catching legend Ernie Whitt involved in the ownership of Mother's?
  2. I was just talking about Charlie Utter today at work. I saw Hostetler on last week's Bones too.
  3. Indeed it does. Al Swearengen R.I.P., and I mean the real one.
  4. It involves a ship of nine in the year 2517 who are in the scavenge, smuggle and transport business. It resembles a western in space, but the government is after them as are the Reavers, creepy space cannibals. It's very well done and it was created by Joss Wheadon of Buffy fame.
  5. Summer, The Terminator girl, is good as a lunatic psychic in Firefly.
  6. Is that a young Brian Austin Green on the right from the excellent Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles? Anyone a fan of that series?

It's very entertaining and not campy, so yes, watch it.
  8. Shouldn't that be "Q: How did Mama Cass Elliot die and not die?" Good point.

Remember the "old crazy guy" in The Lord of the Rings Davey? He was Boromir's father.
  10. Q: How did Mama Cass Elliot die? A: She died of natural causes caused by obesity and not by chocking on a ham sandwich.
  11. This one is kinda easy, although you could shuffle or drop some of the names. Q: What do the following muscians have in common: Jimi Hendrix, Kurt Cobain, Brian Jones, Janice Joplin, Robert Johnson, Jim Morrison, Ron Pigpen McKernan? A: They all died at age 27. Q: How did Yardbird frontman Keith Relf die? A: He was electrocuted by his guitar
  12. Q: How did Robert Johnson die? A: He was poisoned
  13. Q: What is Muddy Waters real name? A: McKinley Morganfield Q: What was Duane Allman's nickname? A: Skydog Q: Spell Lynyrd Skynyrd.

The new HBO show True Blood is good too. It's not at all 90210ish, so I recommend it.
  15. Q: Who was the yippie that Pete Townshed allegedly slugged in the head with his guitar on stage at Woodstock? A: Abbie Hoffman Bonus: What was Hoffman protesting? A: The MC5's manager John Sinclair being imprisoned for his stance on anti-dope laws.
  16. Q: Who guested on pedal-steel guitar on CSN&Y's "Teach Your Children"? A: Jerry Garcia
  17. Q: Name the infamous guest drummer on "Beck's Bolero" from his seminal album Truth A: Keith Moon
  18. I'd like to retract my blessing to you on the 90210/Terminator thread.

Agreed. I liked the show last season' date=' and have also liked the first couple of episodes this season. Aloha, Brad[/quote'] And Garrett Dillahunt rules as Cromartie. Dillahunt is one of the best character actors around: Deadwood, The Assassination of Jesse James, No Country For Old Men, John From Cincinnati, The 4400 etc... Summer Glau from Firefly/Serenity rocks too.
  21. Try Omonia, Christina's, Pappas, Megas, Astoria or the small Asteria (north side beside Cookie Connection) - I've never gone to Asteria, but the kebobs look huge. You can't really go wrong with any of the Greek restaurants. Alexandros is a small take-out place at Chester and Danforth that has awesome gyros. If you want to go to good, cheap and fun diner, the New York Cafe at the corner of Danforth and Broadview will do the trick. It has great Greek food that is cheaper than the authentic Greek themed restaurants on The Danforth along with a surprisingly diverse menu given that it's a diner. The beer and wine is cheap too (pints are around $4.50 and bottled beers around $3 or under - draft is under $3). BTW Dave, call Mike (PM him for his phone number. I could meet you too since I live a block south of The Danforth).
  22. Ha ha! Les did ask where I was from before I could get out "We're from Canada".

Brian Austin Green has been a surprisingly nice addition to the highly watchable Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles.
  24. One of the best in the entire Office canon.
  25. So, having a suicide-themed party when you famous father blew his head off with a shotgun is not "that weird" to you? Maybe she was trying to be ironic.
