  1. I heard you jogged the last 50 metres and waved to your fans.
  2. He will kill the field and you can tell the other runners know it.
  3. It's my bad. I saw the replay too when I got up at 5:45 for work and caught tape-delayed action. I should have written in my earlier post: "I see you've been catching up on taped events too?." I hate my day shift schedule 7am-7pm. At least we'll catch the men's 100 metre final live
  4. I just don't want you to find out the results on the net, since you are on the computer. See Bolt cruise to an easy semi-final victory in a head-wind at 9.85?
  5. I see you've been catching up on taped events. Do not surf the net unless you want to know what else happened. I believe the wresting went down sometime in the wee hours of the morning. Same with rowing. However, the men's 100 metre semi-final is live in 15 minutes and there's live soccer on: Brazil is tied with Cameroon going into extra time on TSN.
  6. Bolt is going to destroy the field this morning in the 100 metres semis and final. I've never seen anything like his sprint yesterday when he jogged at the 50 metre mark and looked at the crowd and still embarrassed a world class field running an easy 9.92.
  7. The Raiders-Titans game last night may have been a sell-out, but there were plenty of empty seats in the top deck. The cameras were careful not to shoot the top level, but on occasion it couldn't be avoided. McFadden looked good though. Vince Young, not so much.
  8. Yes, The Limestone Blues Festival. The lineup looks pretty good once again: http://www.kingstonblues.com/performer_bios.html
  9. Slim is great when he's with his band, but he's incredible he's unaccompanied. See this show if you can. He's the real deal.
  10. I love Wexler's Muscle Shoals work the best of all. R.I.P. Jerry.
  11. God love POG/ForbinHood. I remember it like it was yesterday when Bob told me at a Mule show many years ago that he liked Round Room way more than Billy Breathes and Farmhouse.
  12. Two Georgians Say They Have Bigfoot’s Body Two Bigfoot hunters, Matthew Whitton and Rick Dyer, say they have the carcass of the creature, left. From left, Mr. Whitton; Tom Biscardi, a Bigfoot booster; and Mr. Dyer. By JESSE McKINLEY Published: August 14, 2008 SAN FRANCISCO — In the hairy and hoax-filled history of Bigfoot, those who believe in the mythical beast have offered up all manner of evidence, from grainy photos to hoarse recordings to tracks of those aforementioned feet. But on Friday at a hotel in Palo Alto, Calif., a pair of Bigfoot hunters say they will present what they contend is the most definitive proof yet of an animal that science says does not exist: DNA evidence and photographs of a dead specimen they say they found in a remote swath of woods in northern Georgia. “It was very frightening at first,†said Rick Dyer, 31, a former corrections officer who — coincidentally — runs a business that offers Bigfoot tours. “And it got even more frightening when you saw the others.†Indeed, Mr. Dyer said he and his partner, Matthew Whitton, saw three more of the beasts nearby as they dragged the body of said creature out of the woods. Moreover, Mr. Dyer says he has video clips and photographs to prove it. One photograph provided to the news media showed what resembled a gorilla — or maybe an old sheepskin rug — lying twisted in a freezer, with a dollop of intestines protruding from its belly. “There’s a lot of comment being made that it looks fake, or it looks like a suit,†Mr. Dyer said. “But these people wasn’t there when I was sweating, pulling this thing through the woods.†Tom Biscardi, a longtime Bigfoot booster from the Bay Area, who traveled to Georgia to see the animal, said he was “150 percent†sure that the carcass was a Bigfoot, an American Indian legend whose modern fame dates to an elaborate “footprint†hoax perpetrated at a Northern California logging camp in 1958. “This is ‘Eureka!’ man,†said Mr. Biscardi, whose operations include a Bigfoot Web site, a Bigfoot merchandise line and a Bigfoot Internet radio show. “I touched it.†Both Mr. Biscardi and Mr. Dyer said they expected skeptics to discount the find, which is being kept in a freezer in an undisclosed location outside Atlanta. But they promised even more proof, including video, a DNA test and, of course, a mission to capture one of the big guys. “I’m not asking anyone to believe us,†Mr. Dyer said. “I’m just asking them to sit and watch, because you’re going to eat your words.â€
  13. R.I.P. From the NY Times (and there's a press conference today): http://www.nytimes.com/2008/08/15/us/15bigfoot.html?_r=1&em=&adxnnl=1&adxnnlx=1218812668-xwRZRE7ikq9lew5Ld+35fA&oref=slogin
  14. The whole morning has been depressing. Canada should have beaten Korea in baseball. Talk about stranding runners!
  15. I'm betting there's going to be a lot of promo tickets floating around in December when the Dolphins come to town.
  16. It's still cheaper to get a bus package to Bills games to and from Toronto than it is to go to a game at the Rogers Centre. That's another tough pill to swallow for fans.
  17. I gave away two 500 level seats @ $175 each. Maybe these insane prices will help reduce my Rogers HD package come August 29th when TSN2 starts up. Not likely. Any predictions on what percentage of the crowd tonight actually paid for their tickets? I'm thinking that total is very low.
  18. 7-6 going into the bottom of the 8th.
  19. Good game on right now on the CBC: Canada vs Cuba in baseball. I gotta get me one of those Canada baseball jerseys.
  20. If he was fronting The Jeff Beck Group, I'd be all over those tickets. However, this isn't 1969.
  21. I liked Season IV - it had some of the funniest episodes. Season IV was more of transition season. Season V will air not until next year at some point. Probably in March, although don't rule out the fall of '09. It will be an expanded season though: see about posts.

  23. At least he's going about it the right way. Starting off in the AHL as an assistant is a good place to start. Since the Leafs will suck for another 4-5 years, Gilly can cut his teeth in relative safety and should be ready to "ascend" to the Bigs by then if he's any good.
