  1. What is Phil doing in the end there? Making some weird gesture towards Letterman??? Sound is a little off. Almost sounded like the vocals were coming out delayed or something....
  2. I'm sorry - but having now seen DSO recently and seen The Dead - its just not comparable. The Dead sound is heads and tails above... http://d.yimg.com/kq/groups/1542679/sn/737241472/name/warren%20who.jpg
  3. ps. Q. whats the best thing to happen as a result of the market crash? A. The Dead and Phish are forced to get back on the road! (for the love of music of course)
  4. After going to Albany and Buffalo and seriously considering MSG and Philly and wishing I could find a way to Shoreline and the Gorge, not to mention a single day ticket to Rothbury. I'll say its worth every penny. What are the Chicago dates again? I feel the flu coming on...
  5. Thats why Truckin was the encore. Less predictible. Its never been an encore right? (although using Samson as an encore did give it away...)
  6. That's an explanation' date=' NOT an excuse.[/quote'] yeah, no offense Kev, you know i love ya but that is total bullshit. hows about your POCKET! Langerado gave me a new found HATE for balloons. but what if you've been there so long your pockets are full?
  7. Hey Kev - I went to jollyjoke a month or so ago and it kept setting shit off on my computer. ie. virus/spyware/malware alarms. Is it cleaned up now? Am I crazy? I was going to forward it to a friend but didn't because of that..
  8. Wells' big money kicks in next year I think. If it was based on contract avg. he'd be top 3, maybe even top.
  9. But the term "high draft pick" in baseball doesn't mean anything. The actual first over-all picks go to Yankees, Mets, Dodgers, Cubs etc. regardless of where in the draft they are picking. Jays get to pick the best "signable" player. Its fucked.
  10. Give Frasor the 8th, Downs the 9th and BJ the mop until he gets his ERA down below 2.
  11. Albany seemed more sketchy post-show. But really, phishtaper had it right. Wasn't sketchy at all. Just your usually puppy pulling dreadies doing their thing trying to get some money for the next show. Virtually no police presence and even when they were around they didn't seem to mind the tanks. As opposed to sketchy, I'd say it was exactly as it always was, its just been a long time since I've been to a good old fashioned lot party.
  12. they do deposit on beer bottles now. so those were being picked up / donated. as for the balloons. there were a lot and it is aweful. but there weren't any garbage cans. most of the vendors seemed to have trash bags but they were full quick. at $20/car you'd think they could get some garbage cans and people to maintain
  13. I wouldn't pass. I'd just get lawns. From what I understand, ABB shows are sit down affairs. I'm thinking if ABB closes there'd be enough people drinking in the parking lot during WSP that I could do what I want. Conversely, if ABB opens, those people will be in and sitting in their seats so I need to be up front. I'm just dreading that "tap, tap, tap" on the shoulder followed by the "sit down and enjoy the show" from some guy thats big enough to leave me no choice. Anyone seen ABB at Darien or somewhere close in the past year or two that can fill me in on that? Sitting down makes it harder to drink whiskey.
  14. ps. if ABB is closing I have 7th rows for face... lol (seriously)
  15. There was a list floating around before that ran through all of the shows and had WSP closing. It was right about all the rest, so hopefully its on for this one too. That being said, the venue website has ABB above WSP.
  16. I was a little grumpy this morning. But, regardless, wouldn't you rather see the crowd one third empty but standing on their feet and getting into it instead of hearing the big dude behind you tell you to sit down and enjoy the show? (ps. I actually think ABB's crowd will get into Panic but we'll see.)
  17. Basher - 10th row what side? I'm LCE
  18. Speak for yourself. And sorry to dissapoint you but all sources suggest that Panic will be headlining. Thanks for putting a positive spin on it though! 7th row for me. Figured if I'm going to go to a sit down show I might as well be up front (my positive ABB spin) FWIW neither of these bands are filling places. Hence the tour together. Wasn't ABB's last trip to Ontario Casino Rama?
  19. You can purchase through ABB pre-sale too. And ABB is the reason for the price differential. Panic keeps it simple. Who opens and who closes is not yet official but the rumour is that ABB opens. ABB is closing the majority of the tour.
  20. Albany was great. Only downside - in my opinion - was that a lot of people seem to forget how Dead shows work. Or at least, the formula that worked for so many years. ie. first set songs - second set jams. In Albany it would have had a lot more flow if the Other One was coming out of Space instead of pre-drums - but hey. So if you're going, be prepared for long spacey jams. Sometimes they go somewhere. Sometimes they get off the tracks. Can't play it safe all the time.
  21. One more night! The Gloria would have been great. Wonder how Bobby is spitting now a days?
  22. its $40 to joing the ACDC fanclub and get the pre-sale info. But you can get the money back if you don't get tickets and don't want to be a member anymore.
  23. TM says there is a stadium pre-sale. Try calling this number and acting sweet: For more information: Commonwealth Stadium Telephone 780-944-7400 Fax 780-944-7545
