I heard it was cancelled. It rained so much yesterday morning that the boat out front was washed right into the upper deck.
  2. Who's got my headie private jet to whistler? From Facebook: She Stole My Beer.. returns to the GLC for another great show - Sat 28th Feb FIRST 100 TICKETS ARE SELLING @ $15 all tickets after that are $20 each - available from the GLC Doors open @ 9:30pm Check out She Stole My Beer on MySpace http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendID=269748666 She Stole My Beer was formed back in the late 80's by Chad Chilibeck, David Hughes, Dean Waisman and Tom Taylor - four high school buddies with a shared interest in the classic music of the 70's, from Lynyrd Skynyrd and Neil Young to John Prine. Chilibeck and Taylor were also big Grateful Dead fans and somehow managed to corrupt the southern sensibilities of Hughes and Waisman and their own brand of original music was born. Soon after the band began playing the North Shore bar circuit, they were joined by transplanted easterer Jordan White on Keyboards and their long musical journey began. Over the next few years Waisman shared the drummers seat with Lonnie Powell and Darrell Stables but the band would find it's ultimate lineup with the addition of Geoff Hicks and Franco Diligenti. This roster would make two studio albums, 'Sparks Off The Guardrail' and 'Mule' and play countless shows from coast to coast. In 1997 the touring grind, and difficulties with the bands third record would take it's toll on some members and the band called it quits for a while. After three years SSMB decided to start playing selective shows. After rediscovering their common thread the band continues to bring their original songs(old and new) and huge repetoire of covers to venues in Vancouver and Whistler. With a new licensing deal with Curve Records 'Sparks Off The Guardrail' and 'Mule' are available for the first time in years.
  3. praying that I make it back alive!
  4. Mule is a great disc. "Think I'll check myself out, this whole things gone to far/ Pawn my watch off at the corner/ catch a cab, down to the bar." Everytime it gets put in the changer it makes me smile and stays in a long time...
  5. FROM ANOTHER BOARD: "they didn't when i worked there. ticketmaster actually had all of ticketsnow's ip addresses blocked so we couldn't order tickets from the office. they had about 10,000 people throughout the country that would get an email on friday night for what tickets were going on sale the next morning and what tickets(certain sections/rows/etc.) they(ticketsnow) wanted and would pay usually broken down into a scale like they would pay 5% over face for these sections, 10% for these sections, and 15% for these. then people would be trying for tickets saturday with the rest of us. but they had 10,000 instead of you having your mom and brother helping you. but there are hundreds of other brokers doing the same thing for the same shows and games and after that they all list the tickets they have to sell on a master broker trading site. so ticketsnow.com at the time was listing tickets they personally had, plus any other tickets being sold in the aftermarket throughout the country on their site. if they sold the tickets that someone else actually owned, they had already tacked a standard 30% markup and then call and buy the tickets from owner and drop ship them to you. now days i have no idea what they are doing. i can't believe that ticketmaster bought them. they hated brokers when i worked at ticketsnow."
  6. Can someone make them play Toronto?

I'm going to save myself for the afterparty instead.... . . . . ahh fuck it.
  8. I see the highlighted link that says Bob Marley Tribute
  9. I'm pretty shocked that they're leaving all that money on the table when they could be doing iClips. The Panic NYE and Halloween quality was all there. Maybe they're worried that if they streamed it they'd have to rehearse first...

    Hampton

Anyone know if there are any casinos in Hampton or nearby? I've got a rule that I don't go anywhere just to gamble. But I find myself more and more interested in whether I'll be able to gamble when I go somewhere. Now back to my blackjack strategy guide.
  11. Does Bobby know he's going bald in the back?
  12. And Hog-Tie him and toss his ass out of the place.
  13. Yeah' date=' but who's listening to him?[/quote'] exactly.

  15. Somebody should do a choice. Shit. - why keep a good song down? You guys are as bad as Major League Baseball was to Cito Gaston between 1997 and 2008. Shinnsy can get you the lyrics if you need them...

This came via email from Swifty, but its worth sharing: http://www.archive.org/details/moe2009-02-13.moeT5fridaythe13th09
  19. Just tell em you need to be out of there in time to blow enough glass to get through Phish tour. Speedy recovery.
  20. Don't forget ticket prices and assigned seating ; )
  21. But random tickets and you can't say no and try again.
  22. I'd be leary using GDTSToo - who knows what seats you'll get. Personally I'm an online and/or telephone guy. I had a look. I'd do the MusicToday instead of GDTSToo and see what you come up with - at least then you can see the tickets. And if you don't like em you have a shot at regular on sale. Isn't the Gorge massive too? So there shouldn't be any chance of it selling out to the point of not being able to get in... (been there a bunch, but its a bit foggy).
  23. If Ike's back is there any way we can get Doug to go away for a while?
