Re. Crossroads with the Karate Kid For my money, the best ever miming of performance on film by a non-guitar player was Sean Penn in Sweet and Lowdown. Throughout the movie, I was wondering "Is he or isn't he?" It turns out he wasn't, but he busted his as practicing and studying to look like he was.

People are always so ready to assume the worst about Yoko

For the most part , what people mostly view as Yoko's singing voice was only for the first few albums (Fly, Yoko Ono/Plastic Ono Band, the Unfinished Music series with John), subsequent albums tended towards a more orthodox Western vocal style. Of course, I prefer her earlier albums, found it a bit more interesting.

Just curious, are we talking about songs that are complete gibberish (Closing theme for WKRP In Cincinnatti) or songs with actual lyrics but they don't make any sense (I Am The Walrus)?

I have Zooma, haven't picked up Thunder Thief yet but will. I saw him open for King Crimson a few years ago and I just got flattened. Anybody know exactly when and where he worked with Foo Fighters?

No Elliot Randall on guitar ... then again, maybe they just can't hit the high harmonies anymore.

Unfortunately for me, this version will always be associated in my mind with hearing somebody's painfully sincere and painfully 3/4 tone flat rendition of it at a Karaoke bar.
