  1. Yo Rocks! I was working for the Maple Leafs back 2001 and we were going out to St John's Nfld cause the Leafs were having training camp out there that year. We got to North Sydney and boarded the ferry. I got out of our vehicle and noticed this huge school bus with bikes littered across the top of it. So I thought I'd go check it out. I asked somebody coming off the bus if I could take a look inside......so I climb the stairs and start looking around inside. I look a couple of seats ahead of me and guess who's there? Ya, I didn't know who those people ahead of me were either - but when I turned and looked in the driver's seat Yo was sitting there smiling at me. We hung out on the top deck and puffed the day away - oh and he offered a macrome (sp?) lesson to everyone on board. He's priceless. If I didn't know better I'd think he was God - he's seems to be everywhere at once.
  2. if golfing goes anything like the game of shinny at the boathouse ain't nobody gonna be tired!
  3. I wish I could be in two places at once - hope you have a great time and share lots of laughs & memories! Great poster!
  4. Does this mean the show has moved to Swifty's house? Golf sounds like a nice idea - I'd do it if I can fit it into my schedule - you guys going to the all-naked males-only course again? Can't wait for this show!
  5. Thanks for all the suggestions everyone. I downloaded what I could from LimeWire on Saturday at my parent's house and then went home and went through my CDs to make up the rest of the my mix. Phunky B - I would love to get the YMSB version of Jesus on the Main Line. The only version I could come across was by the Mississippi Mass Choir - oh well - it's still pretty good (i'll keep looking) djmelbatoast - funny! If there were such things as coincidences this would be a great one. Schwa - thanks I'll try for No Depression next time I'm home. Nibbler - Alice's restaurant - good call - I'd like to get that movie. Alabama Man - thanks for the link. Backbacon was nice enough to download the show for me. What I've heard so far is great (Mud loves it) Mark/Timouse/Calamity - the church is in Kemble (about 15 minutes north of 0wen Sound). We're really happy - open concept with a couple of lofts - I want to eventually put a slide in that goes from the loft to the main floor. Here's the 2 mixes I put together for those curious ones - if anybody really wants a copy just PM me. 1st mix - this mix is to let the higher ups know I mean business. 1 - How Great Thou Art (stater bros) 2 - Turn Your Radio On (John Hartford) 3 - Cold Jordan (GD) 4 - God's Gonna Cut You Down (Johnny Cash) 5 - Church on Time (Ben Harper & Blind Boys) 6 - Just A Closer Walk with Thee (Sarah Harmer) 7 - Waiting for a Miracle (JGB) 8 - Old Time Religion (Oak Ridge Boys) 9 - Rise Up Lazarus (Heaven's Gate) 10 - I'll Fly Away (Ralph Stanley) 11 - This Train is Bound for Glory (Johnny Cash) 12 - Prayer Bells of Heaven (Doc Watson) 13 - My Sisters & Brothers (JGB) 14 - Swing Low Sweet Chariot (Eric Clapton) 15 - Hallelujah, I'm Ready (Highway 61 Revisited) 16 - Go Tell It on the Mountain (Blind Boys) 17 - Little White Church (Jim & Jesse McReynolds w/ Mac Wiseman) 18 - I Saw the Light (Ralph Stanley) 19 - I Shall Be Released (the Last Waltz) 20 - Wade in the Water (The Staple Singers) 21 - On the Authority (Heaven's Gate) 22 - Amazing Grace (Willie Nelson, Johnny Paycheck, Dolly Parton) 23 - And We Bid You Goodnight (GD) 2nd mix - this one's to let them know that I like to have some fun too. 6. Cool, thanks DEM! I'll check that one out. Made me think of the song Hallelujah, I'm Ready (i'll add that one to the list too - thanks) Bring those Cockburn songs on!!
  7. about God. Mud and I are moving into an old church and I want to get a good mix CD ready to start it off right. I figure I can fool the higher ups with the music and they won't catch on the other going-ons in there. Off the top of my head I can think of... 1) old time religion 2) swing low sweet chariot 3) Just a closer walk with thee 4) I saw the Light 5) Thanks.
  8. I'm impressed! Well done William, you have indeed saved Easter.
  9. Whoa baby whoa...... The digging up part sounds way too time consuming - i'll stick with ruining easter for everyone.
  10. God ressurects Jerry this weekend instead of Jesus. Mud and I watch him walk out of the vault - over to the cross area where he joins the rest of his bandmates - the Dead are set up under one cross, JGB under another and Old & In the Way under another and he just rotates between each for a never ending set of awesomeness. Stars are out, crosses are burning (not in the KKK kind of way - just to get a nice fire going and not be wasteful). I'm dancing with Mud in some real nice long lush grass - no shoes - and from time to time she lays down so I can snort pieces of pizza off her chest. Sweet sweet perfect night!
  11. If above entry counts then..... Next theme; Songs about or mentioning trains 1. One More Ride - Johnny Cash/Marty Stuart
  12. Not sure if it's okay if only part of the song is about strippers - if so; Songs about strippers. 1. The Bloodhound Gang - The Lap Dance is Always better when the Stripper is Crying 2. Motley Crue - Girls, Girls, Girls 3. Presidents of the United States of America - Stranger 4. Jerry Garcia Band - Cats Down Under The Stars 5. Chris DeBurgh - Patricia the Stripper 6. Tom Waits - Pasties And A G-String 7. Chet Atkins/Jerry Reed - Cajun Stripper 8. Black Sabbath - Fairies Wear Boots/Jack the Stripper 9. Jon Spencers Blues Explosion - Lap Dance 10. 2 Live Crew - Can a Nigga Get a Table Dance 11. John Prine - Spanish Pipedream 12. Bob Dylan - Tangled Up in Blue
  13. never showed up........BOO!!!! However, the bartender did try to entice me with; "But there are 2 great punk bands that are going to play instead" Are bluegrass and punk music interchangeable these days?
  14. Sorry for the poking at you Luke - it's too easy sometimes but it's not the kind of energy I want to put out there. It's counter-productive to our growth. I hope you get well!
  15. This is funny on so many levels (none of which has to do with The Chameleon Project's movie or any of the tweaked out "sausage" at the show) What a joke. Luke you might do better as a writer here; http://tvmegasite.net/jobs.shtml "I'm an old school junglist" - ha ha ha ha
  16. Thanks Moose! I'm going to try and check out the London show.
  17. Can you post the dates or a link to their myspace site when you have a chance Moose? Thanks.
  18. Blurry
