yeah well.. the title says it all..
does anyone need a website, CD-Rom, interactive CD component to an audio CD, custome background music/soundtrack, or print design done for them?
I'd love to do some stuff for bands and clubs and what not. I know this isn't the best place to solicit work but hey.. every avenue helps eh.
I'm in the Ottawa area but the great thing about the interweb is that a lot can be done from great distances away. PM me if you are at all interested or know of any one who may be.
Thanks guys

I'm pissed that The Demons made it.. especially when "Made In Canada" by Randy Bachman and Neil Young (both brilliant in my eyes.. don't get me wrong) didn't
that song sucks monkey poo and I'd say it to their faces
-
hope it hasn't been posted here before:

try and hit up Lusk Cave if you can.. totally worth it (if you don't mind gettting wet)
I was up there with a bunch of people and our dogs a couple of summers ago.. killer good time

depending on the style you like (roots reggae, trad ska, rock steady, lovers rock) I suggest you investigate:
Toots & The Maytals (the perfect bridge from trad ska to reggae, with super soulful vocals and a funky rhythm section):
funky kingston
In The Dark
Reggae Got Soul
Burning Spear (killer political roots reggae):
Marcus Garvey
Man In the Hills
Dry & Heavey
Gregory Isaacs (the king of lover's rock):
Cool Ruler
Extra Classic
Night Nurse
Dennis Brown (more lover's rock mellow goodness):
Words of Wisdom
Slow Down
No Contest (with Gregory Isaacs)
and if you can find it, try and pick up "Live at the One Love Peace Concert" by Peter Tosh.. killer live record from probably the most important reggae concert/festival ever.
Hope that helps you on your way to really discovering reggae (not to say that Marley is a bad start.. but you know what I mean.. there's more to rock than The Beatles)

ha ha!!
do you remember those "body rock" drum pads that you'd strap on to your legs and arms and then smack yourself around for a rhythm? we need someone doing that.. and I'm thinking Velvet is the perfect candidate!

I don't think the Bow is a good idea.. wrong crowd..
have you thought about Rasputin's? I know it's super small, but it's the right crowd, that's for sure.. they have a bluegrass jam there on like Wednesdays or something..
I can't think of any other club that would attract that type of crowd..

are you sure you went to suprnova.org and not suprnova.com or suprnove.net by accident?
I was on suprnova.org this morning and saw nothing about pay.. I know that suprnova.com looks the same.. but it's pay

....if I had a million dollars...I'd buy your love....
man oh man...Magic100 is driving me nuts...but I'm bound and determined to win the $1000!
3:00 pm ...crack a beer...mmmmm.. I love my job! Who else gets to sit at their computer, bare feet...drinking beer
at my old job.. but now I have to act like an adult and wear big boy clothes (the sad thing is.. I do the same thing here.. just a more conservative environment)
-
I think the players are too money hungry!
And I think it's very sad that there might not be a hockey season.
If there is a season, I guess I better make my decision about who to cheer for this year...since I'm now living in Ottawa!!
well then.. the choice is obvious then right? cheer for the Leafs

that Ric Okasec (sp?) had the tallest, skinniest head ever

I have no idea what you are talking about.. but did you get Murray's number?
-
I just got an email from a buddy.. who got this email from his buddy.. it goes like this:
[color:"red"]..........Well, as luck (or lack of...) would have it, I got ripped off, rightout of my van parked in our lane. So, I'm sending this note out. What I lost:
Tokai Jazz Sound, Black, Fretted, with no pickguard, Bartolini pickups.
Tokai Jazz Sound, Sunburst, Fretless, no lines on fingerboard, just side dots, reflex pickups.
Both of these look EXACTLY like early sixties Fender Jazz models, they are the so called "Lawsuit" models.
If you ever spot either of these, please let me know...

so.. what kind of factory created, payola driven playlist have you been subjected to today? how many songs have you heard more than once so far?
-
no.. still looking.. in fact.. I hear they are going to make a new "In Search Of.." with Leonard Nihmoy just for us
-
-
exactly like that!
-
heh heh.. I make no promises
but if you can find me a drummer maybe I'll ensure that his Wednesday nights are free
-
I'm in.. and the proud owner of the Springfield PowerRods
-
I'll tell you what sucks...waking up to take a piss, looking out the window at darkenss and rain thinking it's only 2:30 or 3 in the morning...then crawling back in bed and looking at the clock and realizing its 7:15 and time to wake up.
that's when you call in "sick"
-
-
me too.. but first I need a drummer..
-
right on right on.. we'll see how bradm works out
-
hey all.. this is really only of concern for people in Ottawa.
I'm putting a band together and I need a drummer (at least that's all I need right now).
At it's roots the band is going to be a funk band, but I want to approach the music "like a jamband" if you know what I mean. I'm thinking something along the lines of DJ Logic's Project Logic, Galactic and Karl Denson's Tiny Universe
So.. if you are as much into James Brown as you are Phish.. lets get together.
Anyone and everyone can email me at thatpatguy at gmail dot com
thanks for your time

character animation is the hardest for CG stuff..
I like some of the "improvements" and others I don't.. this new ending sucks monkey turds if you ask me..
this is my prediction.. once the hype of these DVDs is over and he's not making a million dollars a second he'll release a "Classic Edition" DVD set of the originals.. but I'm thinking that's 3 or 4 years down the road..
we've got these, next year is last film, then there is the 3 pack DVD version of the first three films, then the 6 pack version, and the 9 pack super geek out collectors "we are only make 30 million of these so buy yours now!!" GOLD edition.. and then, when that's all said and done.. we will have the "classic edition" released..
wow.. it's exhausting just to think about it
