Balsillie's got balls. This is great a business move. Forces the fans in Hamilton and surrounding area to put up or shut up and forces the NHL into an uncomfortable position when they do so. And Balsillie doesn't even own the team yet! It's like a hostile takeover.

Maybe it falls under "fair use" laws? But would you be similarly outraged if Dawkins or Hitchens had used Archie characters to further their points of view? How about the Dysfunctional Family Circus gags that circulate? Be honest!

100GB hard drive is pretty much the low end on capacity these days. Most systems that sell for that price come with around 250GB. Not sure about the memory off the top of my head. Like I said, look at the Dell site or even Future Shop or Best Buy just to see what the standard specs are for a computer in that price range. You'd be surprised how cheap everything is now.

Have you checked the Dell web site for comparison? Seems a bit much for what is a pretty basic configuration. Edit to add: I suppose the original software makes it a bit of a better deal.

Oh I'm concerned about the welfare of our existence. I don't need a conspiracy theory to know that much. Wanna know what I find scary? This:

I'm listening to a recording of the In The Cage medley that someone taped outside the stadium during rehearsal Sunday night. It's actually very listenable which is a testament to how far field recording has come. Wow. Sounds good! They replaced The Raven with Duke's Travels which is cool. But it also sounds like they are still shaking off the rust. They should be rock solid by the time they hit North America.
