  1. Rumours of Chris Cornell coming out tonight to sing hunger strike!!! Jealous!!
  2. I missed the part about the Tacos... ok, let's do it.
  3. Yeah' date=' I also potentially scheduled a play date with you and your girlfriend last night for this upcoming Sunday evening. We may be having tacos! Though we'll be in the market, we can try and catch the second half.[/quote'] This was not signed in triplicate, nor submitted through the correct channels. Application denied.
  4. *Note: I used 3/4 of a MASSIVE head of garlic instead of garlic powder here.
  5. I'm in O Dot this weekend and want to catch the Spurs/ Wolves match - anyone know a pub I can do that at?
  6. Of course you did... If there's a luckier two people when it comes to tickets, they're probably related to the band! Nice score.
  7. Great hanging with you dude!
  8. Jefferson O'Craignish for Mayor!
  9. It really was - the lime crema tied the whole thing together really really well. Looking fwd to trying both the roast and the pie - thanks guys!!
  10. The sketch factor in previous years was fairly concentrated to the borders of turwookistan, save a few random wholesalers and people lobbying for the Lampshade Sweater campaign. This year, it was an all out assault on the senses. Filth was definitely the mayor this year.
  11. This could also be in part due to the fact that Superball was extra awesome and this was a waaaay far cry from what happened at Watkins.
  12. Overall, it was good times, but that was largely due to the folks we rolled with. The music was good, moe. played well, TVOTR was great, Ween was mediocre, but again, good times. The new venue gets a thumbs down from me - you have to walk up hill to get into the venue and out of it. What kind of fucking masochist thinks this shit up?! I did like the two stages side by side, but that was little comfort. It seemed extra weird and pretty sketchy this year and left me wanting for the comfortable and familiar environs of Turin. It's likely I won't go back to moe.down. It's the end of an era.
  13. I'm a big fan of fall cooking and thought it might be time to start collecting some good recipes other than my staples. So, if you have some good ones, please post them here. Butternut squash soup is a great this time of year and I stumbled upon a tasty looking variation on my regular version. Curried Butternut Squash Soup Ingredients 2 halves roasted butternut squash 2 cups vegetable broth 1 teaspoon garlic powder 1 teaspoon onion powder 1 teaspoon curry powder Salt and ground black pepper Lime Crema, recipe follows Lime zest, to garnish, if desired Directions Scoop flesh out of butternut squash with a spoon. In a medium saucepan, combine broth, flesh of butternut squash, garlic powder, onion powder, curry powder, salt and pepper. Set pot over medium heat and bring to a simmer, about 10 minutes. Puree soup with an immersion blender until smooth. Ladle into bowls. Serve with a dollop of Lime Crema and garnish with extra lime zest, if desired. Lime Crema: 1/2 cup reduced-fat sour cream 1/4 teaspoon lime zest 1 tablespoon lime juice In a small bowl, combine sour cream, lime zest, and lime juice. Whisk to combine. Serve over Curried Butternut Squash Soup.
  14. No Brian Blade, - it was another guy from Detroit. Great show - wasn't so much into Lamontagne, but coulda just been the exhaustion. Loved the Lanois and the Gord Downie, will def. go back next year. I got 3-4 videos of Lanois' performance - I'll try and post them here.
  15. The story with the most votes isn't very good - they must have a lot of friends.
  16. I'm pretty sure you can vote several times - just make sure it's from different IP addresses. Might be able to do it from a smartphone as well.
  17. Velvet is currently sitting in 3rd - we need to vote MOAR!!!
  18. The only thing that helps dry my tears from the City romping of Spurs is seeing how badly Arselols did. I loved seeing that scoreline from old trafford.
  19. voted! Great story - funny, Todd told me this just last weekend too
  20. in - should be good times!!
