Jaimoe
I was thinking about having some beers at the Imperial Library Pub ( just east of Yonge, on Dundas Street and Victoria ) 1 block north of Massey Hall, before the big show on the 7th. Davey Boy, Brels, perhaps Booche/Bouche and a few others ( that I know about ) will be in attendance. If anyone's interested, let me know?Make sure to go upstairs at the Library Pub - it's a lot cooler. Tons of jazz 45's on the jukebox. Regardless, it's going to be a great show, even after reading that incomprehensible concert review on jambase.com.
bouche
I was going to ask if anyone wanted to go out for dinner and drinks. Anything besides pub food would be good for dinner.

Harpua
Ya, hey, where is the closest hotel to Massey Hall. Like I mean is ther one right across the street or anything?Lets all meet up for 4:20s and snoutfuls before the show instead.
LJFH
Hey Mikey, the Days Inn on College is really close to my place. If you guys are hooking up before the show, maybe we could join you? Where were you thinking of eating???
bouche
ok...so it's settled. Everyone will meet up somewhere. Does Jaimoe know of a great place to eat? Something italian perhaps? I'm just suggesting no pubs for dinner food, because you can get the same crap anywhere. Anyway, come up with a decent place, and we can make reservations for a large group...say 20 or more depending on the response? We can all meet around 4 or 5?I'd like to see some people show up that no one has met yet.
Jaimoe
Do you want a restaurant near Massey Hall? What time are you planning on coming here Bouche? I'm still going to the Library Pub. You'll be pushing it if you leave the dinner late. I think some quick Chinese food ( at a cool place ) would be your best bet. bouche
Hey...I'm all up for that. Do you know of a kick-ass place? Would you be up for that? We can have food and a few there, and then head to that pub or something.WHo wants Chinese???
Harpua
Chinese is fine with me, Jaimoe, where is THE closest hotel to Massey Hall, is it that Days Inn that #1 Bouche is staying at or what about that Best Western on Carlton?
Davey Boy 2.0
So it's Swato's for din-dins then? Mmmmmmmmmmmm hot and sour soup and a whole lot of other good stuff.I'll try to be in TO early, Jaimoe.
bouche
Swato? Is that where we'll go? I've never heard of it. IF that's what y'all want to do for the "Meet and Greet"....then maybe the Jaimoe man should make some reservations.

Then we'll give it till monday for a head count in that new thread, and Jaimoe can call and reserve.Sound good?Ok....so where we eatin and drinkin?that chinese place? LJFH
So we would like to join in on the eats.... where is Swatos? I have not heard of it?
Jaimoe
The closest hotel nearest Massey Hall is the Bond Street Hotel - it's a bit of a dive, but it's right across the street from the Library Pub. There is a new Best Western at the corner of Jarvis and Dundas - much closer than the other hotels you guys were thinking about, and a lot better than the Bond Street Hotel. WHAT TIME IS EVERYONE GETTING TO TORONTO!!
Davey Boy 2.0
I'll leave Kingston at about 10 or 11 in the morning.... will be there at 11:30 or 12:30 as a result. Is that gud for you Dave?

Jaimoe
If you guys are here in the early afternoon, we'll head on down to Chinatown. You can't really make reservations at Swatow. It's so damned small. I know of some good Vietnamese/Thai restaurants near my place - Bloor & Yonge.
Jaimoe
I'm off until Monday night. I won't be able to check the Sanctuary until then. No computer at home. Call me this weekend Davey Boy. Preferably Friday around supper. We'll organise something for Wednesday. I'm going to a wedding ( no, not my own ) on Saturday. Jomomma plays Wednesday after Oysterhead. We have to go to that show. It's free too -$2.50 drinks also! Very close to Swatow. By-the-by, Jomomma kicked last Wednesday. Jimmy Swift is coming back to T.O. on the 17th. I gotta work that night, although I'm starting to feel sick. I am going to catch the International Noise Conspiracy on the 11th. Great band. Fucking aggressive punk/mod. Great guitarist too. They're coming to Ottawa on the 13th - playing Babylon. Check 'em out. Only 10 bucks!! I'll give you a review of the show on the 11th. Talk to you later.
bouche
Yes, Jomomma afterwards for sure. I was already planning on it after some emails with Mike Knoll. I didn't know it was so cheap there. It's a tradition, afterall. See trey in TO, then go to the Comfort Zone.
