allman bros toronto show

Without Dickie Betts, look for 5-6 thousand ( maybe less ) for the Toronto show. I've been to 5 of the last 6 Allmans shows in Toronto and they never draw more than 8 thousand ( peaking with the Where It All Begins tour ). Unless you want 100-200 level seats, you can wait and buy at the gate day-of.

so who was the replacement for dickey, was it the kid, or the old man warren?

either way, i personally believe both new guitarists are incredibly proficient in their talents.

I think the 2000 show at the ampi, with the brothers is one of the best concerts i've ever attended....

here's the show (anyone wants a b&p, message me)

For the record Warren was brought in to treplace Dickey. Derek Trucks was already a member of ABB prior to them dumping Mr Betts. Jimmy Herring filled in for the summer 2000 tour, then Warren signed on as a permanent member in 2001.

IMHO if anyone doubts that ABB & Dickey are better off going their separate ways you only need to listen to the last Beacon and spring runs w/Dickey and compare the shows to both the ABB since then, either with Jimmy Herring or Warren, and Dickey's new band. Both are sounding very good and are a definite improvement. Hopefully there is a good turnout of fans at both the ABB and Dickey Betts shows in Ontario this summer.
