ggrtrhhrtgg Posted April 12, 2005 Report Posted April 12, 2005 I should have a better idea of whether or not I can go in the next couple of days... If there is someone else who needs tix, don't worry about me... I will get back to you regardless... thanks.
paisley Posted April 12, 2005 Report Posted April 12, 2005 Once again.... see you all next wednesday wow, a bit over one week to go (don't forget paisley's prize pack Bouche!)
ggrtrhhrtgg Posted April 14, 2005 Report Posted April 14, 2005 Hey Esau, thanks, but I am not going to be able to do it... no funds---looks like its going to be really boring summer-- unless I win the lottery or something.
briguy Posted April 14, 2005 Report Posted April 14, 2005 Just heard from Scofield that he'll be playing some heady stuff to satisfy all the wooks. He specifically mentioned A Go Go.Should be a good time.Cheers
bradm Posted April 14, 2005 Report Posted April 14, 2005 Esau, if you were planning on taping this, check Scofield's taping policy, because he doesn't allow board patches. If there's no taper in attendance with mics, maybe you could cobble something together, even with a pair of SM-58s or SM-57s and various chains of adaptors and patch cables? Aloha, Brad
MarcO Posted April 14, 2005 Report Posted April 14, 2005 Just heard from Scofield that he'll be playing some heady stuff to satisfy all the wooks. He specifically mentioned A Go Go.is this a joke???fuck the wooks, Sco should play whatever he wants.
bouche Posted April 14, 2005 Report Posted April 14, 2005 If Sco said that, then I'm sure he wants to play this 'heady stuff'. I don't really know what that means anyway.
briguy Posted April 14, 2005 Report Posted April 14, 2005 Relax MarcO. Part joke, part truth. He said he's playing Go Go and some other things and it was mentioned the heads will be happy. He also said that Warren Haynes will be on his tribute to Ray Charles....go figure.
MarcO Posted April 14, 2005 Report Posted April 14, 2005 DON'T YOU FUCKING TELL ME TO RELAX FUCK DOES THAT EVER PISS ME OFF. I OUGHTTA KICK YOU RIGHT IN THE NUTS BUT YOU'RE TOO GODDAMN BEAUTIFUL AND THAT JUST MAKES ME EVEN MORE MAD FUCK DO I EVER LOVE BEER OH OH I LOVE IT SO MUCH!!!
briguy Posted April 14, 2005 Report Posted April 14, 2005 If Sco said that, then I'm sure he wants to play this 'heady stuff'. I don't really know what that means anyway.I imagine the heady stuff would be material from albums like Uberjam, A Go Go, Up All Night, Bump. I'm just repeating what I heard.I think it'll be just a few tracks from A Go Go, but who knows.
Im going home Donny Posted April 15, 2005 Report Posted April 15, 2005 yikes...this is coming up fast! Good times.Whos going from Ottawa? Bueller?
Weirdness Posted April 15, 2005 Report Posted April 15, 2005 (edited) Why no taping for this one? Edited April 15, 2005 by Guest
The Chameleon Posted April 15, 2005 Report Posted April 15, 2005 JAZZ TRIVIA: "Who did Scofield do his first professional jazz recording with?"If you know you're a Jazz Star!
Esau Posted April 15, 2005 Author Report Posted April 15, 2005 Why no taping for this one? From John Scofield's website:Taping policyJohn Scofield allows taping at the discretion of each venue on a case by case basis. No video taping, no board patches, sorry. Taping of his Jazz Trio or other jazz oriented projects will not be permitted for reasons outside Scofield's authority -- contractual obligations and the wishes of other musicians with differing opinions. No Scofield tape may be posted on any internet download sites -- they are for individual trading only. We regret any disappointment this may cause. Contact can be made through www.johnscofield.com (see the contact info listed below or follow the link on the website).
