Cars stop for pedestrians there, as I saw last time I was there (I've been in Toronto too long, I think). That way you can get your platter of beer and stagger into the street with considerably more impunity.

And you can smell the ocean. That must be nice. Don't know about smelling Halifax harbour, though.

I'm going to pass on GTB (I'll be seeing them next week) and Tala (just cuz) but I think Wax Mannequin is at the Seahorse.

Last time I was there we saw a band in the afternoon at this pub that had bass, mandolin, banjo, and guitar (sound familiar?) and they were called "Dark Hallow", awesome!! Where was that again Megs?

Halifax is amazing, can't wait till next week - wooohoo!

i remember some italina place like that in halife, whre as long as your drank, you get free food, there was also that place that, had like 2 dollar beers and if you buy a beer you get a burger and fries for like 0.89

Wax Mannequin ....not so good in my humble opinion. I've seen em several times, but yet to be impressed! Check em out though...you might like em..
