I'm thinking of hitting the show at Maverick's tonight: Steve Cuch, Recoilers and Greg Macpherson. But the Phil and Friends DVD Andre just gave me is making me want to stay at home.

well they're from the now sadly defunct big sugar... i saw them play together at the calgary folk festival ca. 2001 and it was very tasty blues, but not limited to that. (i actually got to meet the two of them there and made a moron out of myself quite successfully! they were very cool guys, though.)

kelly hoppe is a fantastic harp player of 'windsor dukes' fame.

should be good!

GREG MACPHERSON!!

holy crap! i knew there was another key show this week!

go check out greg macpherson if you're hittin up a show. way to go ollie!

the recoilers are supposedly a solid rock outfit too. i remember hearing them on CKCU but couldn't honestly say i remember what they sound like...i remember really liking what i heard but fish tales get bigger over time.

Saw both shows (yeah, I'm just that magickal). No skanks at either 'cept meggo??

MacPherson was good, but if I could've been at only one (which luckily I didn't need to be ... magic and all ...) Johnson and Hoppe is the one I would've picked.

hmmm....we stayed home too. We started watching Sideways, and cracked wine for it. We had to drink everytime they clinked glasses. good movie.

If My Friend Randy From Work was on here, I'm sure he could tell us how the night was.
