timouse
bob is revered the world over. beach bars in remote thailand had mini shrines to bob set up, as does the roti shop down the road from me in mississauga. one world, one bob, one love, one people... M
Wow, I didn't realize it was the anniversary today... I'm glad I was enjoying some reggae at midnight... For those who haven't been - - School of Roots every Tuesday night @ Orbit Room is a complete gem... I used to go religiously and somehow it fell of my radar... excellent reggae band... a summer-time must if you live in the city!!!
can-o-phish
Hey Mary, Thanks for the info about the Reggae Tuesdays. Dr_Evil_Mouse
In tacit recogniition of the occasion, fate conspired to put a copy of Roots of a Legend, cd and dvd, in my hands this afternoon. Gonna go watch the latter right this minute.
Tooly
i was super doubtful of the tribute too buddy, but i was impressed, they didnt play "legends" front to back, they played alot of rarer bob tunes, really kickin version of concrete jungle, it was good, and theres not really a whole lot of anything better happening this weekend that i saw anyways..
