TheGoodRev
I quite like the JSB, caught them with the new drummer and quite enjoyed it. Yeah the host of the show is a little sappy, they chose a shitty song to play, but I'd like to hear the interview.
Kaidy Mae
Sappy? Yes, but to be expected. Have you ever heard a host say, "And coming right up, an east coast band who are delightfully average"? Certainly not on the CBC.
Dancin man
What time does it start??I'm listening now and there is some country shit going on?It is 10:40 now.
bradm
My guess is that it'll be on just after the 11:00am news (which conflicts with GRUVLIX, dagnabbit! ). Aloha, Brad
Kaidy Mae
Yeah, this country bunk was a bit of unexpected cheese-grader-on-the-brain. I've turned it down now so that it's nearly inaudible. Just chitter chatter going on.Should be in the 2nd hour, as BradM said...just after the bad news.

Kaidy Mae
Okay, here we go. I was worried they weren't going to introduce the masses to any of their trippy business. This song sounds like the New Deal.

Velvet
"the host of the show is a little sappy"I dunno, I think Shelagh is one of the best interviewers Canada has right now.
AD
For Arts pieces sure, where you can be all sappy and use as many superlatives as you like.I'd say Mary Lou Finlay from As It Happens is CBC Radio's best interviewer right now. She interviews tough people, asks tough questions, and has a great style.Shelagh (weird spelling, I kinda like it) is an asskisser. But compassionate and empathetic, so she still comes across well.AD
Dr_Evil_Mouse
I think Mary Walsh once said to her on This Hour Has 22 Minutes that she needed to be more of a bitch. Couldn't agree more. Really, does anyone need to be that friendly?
