Jaimoe
Those two guys will be great mentors for young power-forwards Nathan Horton and Anthony Stewart.
SolarGarlic
Im not a Leaf fan, but I think this was a smart move for sure. Clear up some salary room for younger guys...the Leafs are way to old and full of players past their prime..can't be a contender with a line up like that. ollie
I would have liked to see Roberts come to Ottawa but so long as Florida doesn't make the play-offs, I am happy with this move. Interesting that they'll be playing under Jacques Martin. In a sense, Nieuwendyk cost him his job in Ottawa.
c-towns
isn't there a sports forum now? Good move by the leafs though along with picking up O'Neill
Jaimoe
I would have liked to see the Leafs cut loose Antropov and Ponikorovsky - two dead-weights.

Jaimoe
It'll be interesting to see who's assigned the two A's of Gary and Joe's. I'd say McCabe will be an assistant along with either Mogilny ( if he comes back ) or Domi ( if they keep him ).
Hal Johnson
Heard domi on the Sworski show say that if Roberts and Newindyke go, hes gone. Good riddance.
Jaimoe
Heard domi on the Sworski show say that if Roberts and Newindyke go, hes gone. Good riddance. No fucking way. A team has to have players like Domi, and I'm not taking about fighters. Domi can skate, is an excellent bodychecker and isn't dumb with the puck. He sets up plays and in many games where he saw a lot of ice-time, he was one of the best Leafs. He never takes games off either, like many of the Leafs tend to do. Hal Johnson
Either love him or hate him. I hate him. I agree that he plays hard, I disagree that has any skill though ( aside from being a great goon.). Ill never be convinced otherwise, either, so please dont try to pursuade me. Sure he scores 12 goals a year, but thats the league average and hes been around long enough to know how to put the puck in the net on occasion. I saw him once miss an empty net goal and my GF, who pretty much despises hockey, was like, "thats all he does (play hockey), and he missed the net?" I had a good laugh. badams
Domi has the biggest head I've ever seen on another human being.
Jaimoe
I'm met him Brad. His head is indeed huge. So is the neck that holds it.
Schwa.
Sure he scores 12 goals a year, but thats the league average and hes been around long enough to know how to put the puck in the net on occasion. Now consider the lack of ice time given to him. Cherry is always bitching about that one. He is an asset to whichever team he will play for. he's also the fastest skater for the Leafs (but he's still a meathead, granted)
badams
I've partied with him a couple of times. He is actually a nice guy. His only fault I could see was that he plays for the Leafs
