timouse Posted August 27, 2005 Report Posted August 27, 2005 Mr and Mrs Calamity Evil Mouse will be packing their earthly belongings into a truck in preparation for their migration to the Ottawa area, which i understand leaves team SoOn with Del and one future draft pick beginnig at around 8am (eeeh.) there will be very strong coffee and heavy lifting opportunities avaliable, with suitable refreshment served throughout the day. come say goodbye to the nicest couple of freaks to grace the west end of toronto! 917 Ossington is the address, if you're game then PM dr~evil~mouse or calamity jane for details.

Calamity Jane Posted August 28, 2005 Report Posted August 28, 2005 well at least the heavy drinking has started. we're tearing down the furniture today & will be living on cup-a-soups, beer, and love for the next 40 hours, then we're outta here! (pinch me, I can't believe this is actually happening!)
timouse Posted August 29, 2005 Author Report Posted August 29, 2005 all right! heavy drinking and packing...together at last!
Dr_Evil_Mouse Posted August 29, 2005 Report Posted August 29, 2005 I love drinking and packing. Nice thing is that whenever you drop something, it's really funny, instead of aggravating, and then you have one less thing to haul into the truck. Pretty clever, eh?
Booche Posted August 29, 2005 Report Posted August 29, 2005 Actually, we signed Deb/Dr as free agents. In order to create the room on our roster, Del was put on waivers at which point Team SoON claimed him. We needed more veteran presence, which explains our way of thinking.
Dr_Evil_Mouse Posted August 29, 2005 Report Posted August 29, 2005 The existentialist in me wonders if any of us can ever truly be a free agent.
Hux Posted August 29, 2005 Report Posted August 29, 2005 Booche is the Phil Niekro of the Ottawa scene.
bradm Posted August 29, 2005 Report Posted August 29, 2005 The existentialist in me wonders if any of us can ever truly be a free agent.I don't know, but I do know that there are some damned cheap agents out there.Aloha,Brad
Thorgnor Posted August 29, 2005 Report Posted August 29, 2005 Everyone knows that Del signed on for one season and realised that a championship will never come to team Ottawa so he left for the K-dub, a real contender even with the absence of the Gov who left to lend a hend to the growing London team.
bouche Posted August 29, 2005 Report Posted August 29, 2005 take packing party pics and post 'em we'll be jamming and eating soon friends. Happy moving!
timouse Posted August 30, 2005 Author Report Posted August 30, 2005 hey mike, deb took packing pics but it will be a while before they have camera & computer & internet connection all at once. as of 4 this afternoon, the scullies are on their way to ottawa!cheers to nathan from wiser, trevor silverheart and snail's amanda for pitching in to help dave & deb...take good care of them, o-folk!
timouse Posted August 30, 2005 Author Report Posted August 30, 2005 more like a long day i was only in on the first shift. the next part of the movie is a 4 hour trip to ottawa, a furious unloading followed by the return trip for the truck, then followed by the come together festival! (or at least that's the current plan.)
Dr_Evil_Mouse Posted September 1, 2005 Report Posted September 1, 2005 And another really long day... had to get the truck back to TO by 8 this morning, and here I am, wandering around the city, extra-drowsy and effectively homeless, until I pick Deb up at Union tomorrow to drive to the CTMF. I suspect several patios shall be visited through the course of the day (anything worth seeing going on in the city tonight?). I don't expect she's got the computer up and running yet (I'm taking advantage of U of T facilities at the moment), but if I were her right now I think I'd be lying on my back on the grass in the new backyard watching the clouds make interesting shapes all afternoon. So many thanks again to everybody who helped out to get us rolling. I hope Trevor's head recovers soon, where I dropped the mattress frame on it. I think I'm going to get to keep my big right toe where the dolly got it. All in all, a successful move. Stay tuned for more exciting fence-related announcements... .
