Velvet
I just heard on the radio about a huge grow-op in Sherbrooke getting busted. The plants were grown aeroponically - suspended in the air with a water/hertilizer mist sprayed around.Never heard of that before.
Bennyd
Yea we work on this stuff to. the latest tech. uses dissolved liquid Oxygen to boost production. Warning Liquid O2 is very dangerous and should not be used in your closet it is a contact explosive and should only be used by trained Pros
deranger
yeah I heard that way of growing is like 3 times faster.....the logistics of suspending plants in air seems daunting or weird or both.
bONES
Never heard of that before.aeroponics has been around for a while nowDisneyworld has a huge green house full of aeroponic veggiesit's pretty damn cool

Bennyd
True this has been around for a while. My problem is most products on the market for average growers are just glorified NFT (nutrient flow technique) hydro systems. True Aeroponics uses atomizing systems that break water down to a molecular level then calibrate nutrient levels and O2 accordingly. As you can imagine they are still very expensive and are impractical for home gardeners. Growth rates are much faster but three times as fast is a stretch. Some other methods employee fish, Aquaponics or Aquaculture. Hydrorganic and biodynamic methods use organic nutrients and cultures to break down the nutrients into more accessible forms while still growing Hydro. Both of these are not practical for large scale food production but make nice home projects.

Booche
They suspend them in air so that they are closer to Mars.

YearsAlongTheSea
I don't like all the techy nonsense. It's good for high yield if you know what you are doing, but for quality, nothing tops a good OG Soil System. It's the truth. You heard it here 1st.
