Dr. J
Sad news indeed. In the late 60's the first thing any high school band worth their salt did was learn those two songs. I remember in Kingston at the time there was a band that added horns and did just a monster version of "Midnight Hour." Ah the memories.RIP Wilson. The Chameleon
Damn! All the greats are reachin' that age. It makes me wonder in 40 years who will be there to replace these giants in the pantheon of music history? RIP Wicked Mr. Pickett
Jaimoe
I love Wilson Pickett, especially the Muscle Shoals stuff. Duane Allman's smoking solo on Pickett's Hey Jude made me a fan forever.

dave-O
The wicked Wilson Pickett. He played the Ottawa Bluesfest in 2001 and was backed by just an incredible band. RIP
Dr_Evil_Mouse
I'm torn between lamenting the demise of the late great Mr. Pickett and chuckling at Tooly's new avatar. I'll just assume that Wilson, for his part, would go with the avatar.
